Dude, this was a great reaction. You lived every line and felt every bump in the road. This is a masterpiece. The vibe reminds me of a different tune from about 15 years ago by a guy called Dizreali called Maria (kzbin.info/www/bejne/e3PToHmNf85-d6s). I think it's the story telling, the poetic vibe and the repetitive and haunting sung hook. I saw Disraeli win a big poetry competition with an acapella performance of it back at the time.
