I can't think of another band that has aged as gracefully as DEVO. They legitimately look like mad scientists on stage now, Mark especially, and that only further enhances their music and their message.

I was in Athens Ohio the week of the Ohio State shootings and through pure circumstances I got to see and dance to Devo live at the only bar in Athens that would let them play. I will forever be grateful to these brilliant artists who changed my mind and opinion about what is good, fun music.

In 1978 I traveled from Belfast in Northern Ireland to the Rainbow in Finsbury Park, London to see DEVO. It was incredible then, and they remain incredible now. 40 fucking years later and still nailing it. ( still got the ticket, too ! )

Two have passed, original drummer Alan and one of the Bobs. But keyboardist Gerry was a student at Kent State in 1970, and vocalist Mark is all-greyed out--but both are still willing to go out there and Whip 'em into shape!

Everyone needs to listen to them as they are great, saw them 3 times in the 80's, once 11 years ago and last year 50th anniversary tour, they still sound as good as ever. I bought the first album when it first came out be in 1978 because I heard it was marble colored. From the first second I heard it I loved this band. I thought this is really different and I love it! So glad to see they are still doing a few shows. I really hope they will do a full tour. This band is a band I haven't seen but want to really bad They sound great!!!

Some stupid people at the release party I drummed this song at used The Friday's Live 1980 Version though just the solo was the only guitar part. Just cause the synths play with the guitar they didn't notice people can be dumb will make sure they see the video I sent them to project and do the song again to prove my point! They used that video I said. Though they could only hear it not see it.

I know the KZbin comment section is often utter trash, but I man was I expecting more out of Devo fans. John Waters is a great filmmaker, and his subversive style and outlook is comparable to Devo's, making him a rather appropriate speaker for the occasion. Also... Devo doesn't support Trump.
