My household too, is a non cheesy household. Well at least "officially". But it's been known to happen on seldom occations that Cheddar or Västerbotten cheese has found its way into my fridge. Somehow its there one morning. I call 112 immediately upon discovery, so they can come and clear it out before its too late!

I'm considering setting up some kind of bicycle based, cheese disposal service. I can just cycle round Europe giving a good home to unwanted dairy products!

What an excellent idea! I expect you shall have to visit my household approximately three times a year. I do, however, have a slight concern about the pace of that operation... Although I wholeheartedly agree that its important to make time "to be able to just sit and do some staring", I'm a bit concerned that you will be giving a good home to an ex dairy product, a fridge furry.😉 Or worse, it'll be eaten before you arrive.😋🥴

Lovely video as always, Jethro. I too am into slow days. Im out there to enjoy, not race to get to a destination. Mountain biking and bike packing are my escape from the busyness of everyday life. I went on my first trip over the weekend in the Brecon Beacons, and even videoed it, but I have a long way to go with editing etc. As always looking forwards to your next film. I keep the pogies on for as long as I can. With all the zips and vents open they are just a way to keep the breeze of your fingers and as the last day of this trip proves, May is plenty capable of throwing some wet and cold at the unwary cyclist 😉
@tonypaddler

@@JethroJessop Ah right, zips and vents make sense. I bought some cheapo pogies to see if they'd fit on my drop bar winter bike, it only gets used when there is snow or ice on the ground so I didn't want vents. I do want a pair for my full-suss bike and vented ones will make sense for that.

Bike riding; Learning to 'Fly' 😁 You know what is really good? Whole Grain crackers and Herb and Garlic goat cheese. Within the last three months I have discovered 'cleaner ingredients when food shopping for my place. I also purchase 100% peanuts only peanut butter, raw trail mixes and then of course the vegetables and fruits. My relationship with food is simply this: for; 1) Body Nutrition 2) Sustainable Energy 3) Improved Immunity (gut health) 4) Protein for the muscles. 5) Increase metabolism. foods that burn fat. Make bracelets too.

I'm down with the crackers and cheese for sure! Top snacks. I'm generally pretty healthy when it comes to eating but on bike trips I definitely slip. @@JethroJessop I definitely like my chocolate. After listening to Bobby Parrish(a professional Chef who emphasizes on "cleaner Ingredients) I have replaced some of my common food staples. One of my favorites as a sweet snack; Dave's Bagels (he has better quality bread ingredients) and then from wholefoods, their organic hazelnut spread. I toast the plain bagel and then spread the chocolate on top of the bagel..."Better than a Donut" (lol).

@@geoffmilner yeah they are pretty good though I haven't had one for a looooong time. Trying to eat ethically is a minefield at the best of times and probably not really possible at all with snack stuff. No cadburys, no Nestlé, the cocoa probably came from very questionable sources, the wrapper will be microplastic, clagging up a dolphins heart in a few weeks and the whole thing is stuffed with refined sugars and chemicals and generally a bad idea. Sometimes one just has to admit that one has an impact and eat one's lion bar with a tear in the eye 😉
