That was some serious inside band work. People really under estimate bands. I found a 100lb band/cord in the garage and that shit is no joke! Can't believe people in the fitness community have ever said they are for sissies lol. Guess I am cuz I could barely put it over my head for a shoulder press lol. Love seeing you use them. They're especially harder at the end of the movement which I think is great for challenging yourself through a lift.

Base for genadi and i epilog l would say this is all definitely good for a build up for Denis. I think so many people still think he'll destroy you or that you're duckin him. I believe you'll come in maybe even stronger than you were for Levan. I think if you slowly slowly ramp, over a year you can progress so 10-15% stronger than you were then. Which would be maaassive!

He’s already stronger than he was for Levan. If Devon is peaked and ready there is no way Denis beats him IMO. Denis’s slower open style is perfect matchup stylistically for Devon. Devon will be big, stand tall, and dismantle Denis’s open toproll. Devon is worlds best at beating it. I think it will look like the Mike Todd match but a lot closer. Denis will ease into that position like he did against John, but Devon will dismantle it.

If Denis was as strong as he was in 2018 which he isn't because of health reasons than he'd win. He was just as big as Levan in arm size, but cut! Denis might be 15% weaker than ihn 2018. Devon is about 18-20% stronger so this might go either way. Devon did beat John easier than Denis did!

@@virginccyy7645 actually he didn’t win easier. John fought Devon just after his comeback, so John wasn’t in very good shape. But with Denis he was. And Look at the round 2 and 4, Denis flash pinned John. I’m from Russia and after match Denis said that he wasn’t interested in pinning John as quickly as possible, that is why their arm fight went for so long. For the match with Devon Denis will be even 20 percent stronger than he was with John (judging from his words). So I think it would not be comfortable match for Devon either

He does heavy singles throughout the day, maybe 1 rep with a weight he could do for 2-3 reps for strength adaption. He used to do a lot of statics but not sure if he still does those anymore. Check some of his older videos, I remember watching years back some of the weights he used were good.

How long does he stay doing these very light high volume warm ups ??? Maybe better leaning from how the big guys train, might make progress then, not stay the same for 40 years. What he has done in this video, is just a very light warm up from an injer, basically a waste of tome, but maybe he thing's its better than doing nothing. just making his muscle work like in a light long easy walk, just gets you know where.

I think for the superheavies, devon needs more general strength. his hand seemed in tiptop shape against genadi and his elbow seemed healthy to get into a hook, but he was just dug out of his position. i think with a little pushup/bench and rowing strength training he could go really far. (i think he also used to still feed from the general strength he had from the special forces, and now it's mostly gone)

Yes, the thing is that he doesn’t need much, he’s right there with someone like Ganadi who not only is a legitimate super heavy but is also very strong and technical, he just needs a very small bump in general strength, especially because he’s all busted up from years of armwrestling he realistically can’t go too hard.

I get how it's stupid to try to correct him on armwrestling specific training but every other pro on the planet is doing at least some form of compound lifts for the upper body, stuff like bench, rows, pulldowns, ect. I get the argument that 1 armwrestling training session will make you a better armwrestler than 1 bench training session but Devon has committed so much into his forearms at this point that he's probably like 97% maxed out in those muscle groups. When Ryan Bowen (who was only doing armwrestling exercises) starting throwing in compound lifts his strength on the table exploded

Devon knows best but i dont know why he is so obsessed with Gennady. Only Devon haters think he didnt get a fair rub in that match even Engin thinks there where reefing issues. Not just the refs but the huge gaps between rounds ruined his stamina advantage as well. Especially between 3 and 4 when Gennady was there for the taking. On another day that could of been a hard fought whitewash much like last weekends Yordan match.

Very personal theory here. Devon thinks Dave is all that's wrong with the sport: Dave keeps a low profile and let's his arm do the talking. By doing so, not only does he make extraverts like Devon look like peacocks, he also does very little to help the sport grow in popularity. The two are also polar opposites in terms of table IQ and style. I still hope they're able to bury the hatchet some day.
