Lighthouse is going into private ownership so views from there will not be available to the public ever again. Seems a shame as the lighthouse is Victorian and a great part of our history. Thanks Brett. The other video footage is amazing too. It seems our heritage is being eroded as places become inaccessible or too expensive to visit (part of the plan?) many thanks for all your great videos😁

@@eliz9369 It is a tricky one. That site is very dangerous. To be open to the public, families, old people, it needs to be safe. There are deathly drops over walls and the narrow road perched on the cliff face. I'm all for keeping places like this public with the National Trust etc. In this case it was sold privately and the owner had to spend a fortune rebuilding the road and defending against the sea erosion as well as restoring the building to a habitable dwelling. Its better than it becoming derelict and lost to the sea I suppose. It was a last opportunity to film it before it becomes private.

It’s only because good people like yourselves took the trouble to film things that we can go on KZbin and see great steam trains, etc.. Thanks again. Hartland point lighthouse… saved a few lives over the years! Hartland still has a light flashing to warn ships of the danger but it’s obviously been relocated?
