The older cop seemed so out of place in the modern excuse of a police force. Calm, collected, courteous, seemed to want to amicably resolve the issue. Don't let him retire... Get him an instructor job

@Moontanthefirst14 күн бұрын
I get it. You are completely correct in your expectation of being able to use legal tender…especially when the issue has already been ‘resolved’ by previous example. However, I also believe that you knew this reaction was a distinct possibility and were antagonistic to a certain degree. If your crusade is to highlight the idiocy of the system, and those that police it, then you have succeeded. It is my personal opinion that it is unreasonable to expect police officers to be fully conversant with every aspect of British law. Officers that abuse their power and unlawfully punish persons are treading a dangerous path. Should they be enticed into such a relatively trivial situation when serious crimes are being committed, I’m not sure? Overall I applaud you, but I have reservations. It’s a tricky one, for me anyway. 🤔

That copper is an idiot, by his own logic Tesco or any other Petrol station are dishonest by attempting to deliberately sell fuel at higher than its cost price, so using those coins to pay slightly less is, by the same reasoning, actually a fairer and more just means of payment which he sees as being reasonable grounds for arrest.

There are no laws making it illegal to record in a bank. Its just a publicly accessible private premises like most other corporate places so all they can do is ask you to leave if you refuse to stop.

I love how after being told it's "legal tender" they ask some ignorant twonk and take the word of the ignorant twonk over the law of the land. We only have to look at history to see how readily people follow the orders of their superiors over the law. And what that can lead to.

What a load of absolute garbage. This is just unlawful harassment. Police are only entitled to act where they suspect a crime has been committed. Flying a tiny drone over public or private land is NOT an offence in t case of sub-250g drones. The police appear clueless.

He is being deprived of his freedom of movement in the fact that they do NOT have any reasonable suspicion of a crime being committed. They MAY have thought so at the beginning but after reading the legislation and seeing the weight of his drone then they should let him go. Definite grounds for taking this to court.
@MarkBowenPianoАй бұрын
"I'm operating outside my area of expertise" Perhaps you shouldn't be then? Perhaps get someone who actually knows the law and what they're talking about instead then? They'd take one look at his drone and say "Have a nice day sir!". End of. 😂

Get a job and more importantly get a life you mug. Harassing people on minimum wage for 'views'. Legal tender does not mean it has to be accepted. If it was your business and you were unable to bank these coins, you would do exactly the same thing.
@brentmurphy4061Ай бұрын
This guy is an absolute tool. Just filming things like this just to get a reaction for 'views' knowing that shops won't accept them. Just because something is legal tender, shops are under no obligation to accept it, usually because they are unable to bank the money. If it was your business you would do exactly the same thing. Get a life pal and stop harassing people on minimum wage who have got better things to do than to deal with the likes of you.
