@7000SELVA9 жыл бұрын
+Ni5ei It is not that easy . A whole computer inside ! Good commentary !
@DailyLifeNY9 жыл бұрын
+Ni5ei i wish people like you understood how fucked up that is to say.... "oh someone spent hundreds of hours designing something made to be unique to a few people so its not generic, i wish their idea got ripped off so nobody would acknowledge the work the original maker put into it." guess what, quality things cost money. things people spend months of their life making, cost money.
@Ni5ei9 жыл бұрын
++DailyLifeNY Perhaps you should realize how fucked up it is to ask $25,000 for a watch. That's more than what I earn after working for a whole year! No person with a regular wage will pay that much for a watch. Perhaps you're one of the lucky few who, no matter how you "earn" your money, can pay such an amount for a watch but for most of us it's off limits. If the price was fair, I'd surely buy an original. But this price is idiotic. This particular model was limited to 150 copies, all sold out. That's 3.75 fucking million dollars! Yeah, I'd happily pay $750 for a good copy. That's half a month's wage for me. Probably the same or more wage as people who are fortunate enough to have the riches to buy an original. Or are you saying I'm not allowed to love this technology and wish I could own a brilliant design because I earn less than people who are lucky to have an inflated salary?
@DailyLifeNY9 жыл бұрын
its not fucked up to ask for that price though... realize the work that is put into it. the fact that its not mass produced is what makes it expensive. people who own these pieces take pride in the fact that they are some of the few in the world that own it. if anything, take it as motivation to work towards a goal. i earn my money the hard way, just like most people. my most expensive watches are only $300 or so. I don't think that the price should be lowered for people like me. i think that i should meet their standard and earn it, be one of those few who can say they can afford those things. I like Lamborghini, they are way over priced for what they do compared to a normal car, they just drive faster, right? no. theres quality detail work you cant find in lower priced cars. theres research they have to recuperate money for. and they make a select few so to meet the design costs for such a limited number of cars, they have to be expensive. thats why they cost what they cost. dont even get me started on how stealing a design is morally disgusting.

4:15 he says "collectors" Please replace that simplified term with "millionaires who are bored and decided to spend their exponential growth of money on wristwatches" Very amazing watch. But knowing that all things are relative and accepting that this watch is out of my reach, I will be happy with my Svorski crystal automatic mechanical Armitron my wife got me for an anniversary. It has exposed gears and winds with movement. plus it was only 200 USD. By only 200 I mean it was a gift that was saved up for. I do like to see watches like this because I like anything mechanical whether it be just aesthetically mechanical or not. But some prices just smack you in the face with the reality of "damn, now I see how broke I am" but this watch is easily dwarfed by "The Winch" costing $315,000.00USD that's double what I payed for my home. :/

I think that I would use some kind of textile even cut the track holes with a laser. the text could be applied with some mask also the a laser could help. If the tape is endless it will not get loose, else there will be needed a spring or maybe two stepper on both tape spoole you could maybe meassure tape tension so one motor could compensate. the track holes could be used for position counts.
