Ello my loves!
We are back at Henford House today, we finish off the exterior by completing the stables, adding on some dog kennels and we finish up the side garden areas too!

I feel like the groundskeeper is the one who bought the toy box and toys for the dogs. And while the dogs were trained to be guard dogs I imagine they are more loyal to the groundskeeper than the actual family. Also i think outside of the groundkeepers storage maybe add an outdoor sink? I think he'd have one so he could give water to the dogs, fill smaller water containers and also when he uses the bathroom the sim won't walk into the house to wash his hands.

I agree. Also it would be helpful if you placed a bathtub in the dog kennel area, so that the groundkeeper can bathe the dogs.

Could you put one of the DIY sinks or even the horse ranch one into the stable. Not keen on the groundsman handling the dogs and horse after not washing his hands from numbers 2's you know!

It would be so great if you had a dog bed and food bowl for the dogs in the kitchen or the basement, because the maids and kitchen staff just spoils the dogs without the family knows about it.

I'm thinking the pet cem / training area on the dog kennel side of the house. And the romantic picnic the other then you have a working side and a more manicured side. Plus may just be my way of thinking but dogs will be doing business near the kennels so the picnics won't be romantic with the smells. I know it's sims 😅😂 but that how I think.

I came here to say the same thing. The romantic spot should be off the parterre. Strolling out onto the patio in the evening, and then down under the tree for shade sounds lovely. I wouldn't want to have to go past the stables on my way to a romantic tryst. I know a lot of people suggest that area for dog training, and even I thought of that, but it makes more sense trading sides, now that he added the dog kennel, which was a great idea.

In my mind, they have a pet cemetery because they don’t want to spend the money to properly cremate their animals when they pass. They tell the groundskeeper to just take care of them and he and the other staff pool their money to buy headstones. In all fairness, we have buried all our animals on our property because we love them. The horse is in her favorite spot and the three dogs are down in a pretty spot by our natural pond with a cross over them. But if we lived inside the city, we wouldn’t be allowed.

I think the sims team are trying to make as much cash as possible from the least work possible by going the route of mobile and multiplayer/online games, which I'm so not a fan of. I want to pay once for a game, maybe buy some cool DLC if it moves me and that's it. Was really hoping for a fresh, new sims PC game but we're not going to get that from EA. I'm very disappointed by the "exciting news" announced yesterday. The Sims games as we know them are tapped out, I think. I'm really hoping InZoi and Paralives will be as great as they seem. Also, thank you for another great build video! I really look forward to your videos, they comfort me

The terrain paint being on a diagonal for you is so strange! I've seen it be straight for other simmers. I'm so confused unless I'm missing something...

Nope, it's straight. Aden is just building this one on the rear side of the lot.

I did notice when I use this lot on sims whenever I have an event or travel my Sims pop up on the "side" of the house AKA where you made your front door. It drives me crazy because I have a driveway towards those walking paths but if you decide to play it would appear towards the front

if it makes you less sad, i have had hunting dogs for the entirety of my life and they have a sheltered kennel for summer and winter with doors and everything and also a big part of the garden for themselves to destroy as they please. when someone is home we let them have the entirety of the garden free to run and bark as they want since they are a very high energy breed and they need to be outside and we spend a lot of time with them in general, even if they are outside, sun, rain, snow and all. they would suffer a lot inside the house since they are always up to some mischievous (and crazy) activity but it is part of the deal with working dogs. Every breed has its needs and some dogs just don’t do well inside (i am NOT implying that anyone should ever get dogs to leave them outside and not interact with them, that is not ok AT ALL)

what i mean is that you have to make some sacrifices for your pets and in our case they stay outside beacuse they like it and we let them do what they want, so the yard is absolutely destroyed by their continuous excavating and running but that’s what having working dogs implies and we are fine with that. i would not recommend this breed (brittany) to people who live inside and don’t have gardens or time to take them out on VERY long walks since they cannot stay chill for one second

I have dogs in my bed every night, Dave pushing his hot self all over my menopause self and Cody with his restless leg syndrome kicking me, but if they had to stay in a kennel I'd sleep in there with them 😊 The Sims dog beds are terrible, is there better ones out there in CC? This is a very posh build as per the family. And you have a lovely singing voice 😊

5:48 terrain paint is not on a diagonal; the front of the lot is technically where that pathway is, and the build is on the rear side. So it’s just an angle🤷‍♀️ I can not see myself using it anyway, kinda disappointed in EA bringing it after the Sims 4 anniversary and it's still 💩

I totally agree cutting sims 5 is concerning (esp given the state sims 4 is in) and project Renee sounds like it’s online and I’m not interested in that. Would really like a sims 5 to build on sims 4 build mode but also just improve and refresh the franchise. Sims 4 can’t compete with games being made now. I’ve seen sims games since sims 1 so really a bit worried about the franchises future.

Personally, I've bailed on Sims 4 because it's just too broken and expensive (who should have to pay for broken things?) to continue adding onto. Build mode is heads above previous Sims' however. I ♥♥♥ build mode in Sims 4. I hope they save that for when I can't resist any longer. Real life, you know?

I think their idea about Sims 5 is a big mistake. I would like them to go back to disks, of course that may be because I'm not on line because where I live. I didn't like Sims 4 went back to Sims 3, a friend built me a game computer for 500.00 dollars he put Sims 3 on it where I didn't have to be online. I wish they had continued the Sims 3 like they did Sims 4 it would have been fab.😂

Sims 4 brought a massive player count; with Sims 5, they might get a fraction of that audience. Also, Sims 5 would make all of the purchases, like the expansion pack, etc. useless, so I'm happy 😁

The only thing keeping me attached to Sims was the promise of an eventual Sims 5. I think it’s a big mistake to not make it. The game is outdated, broken beyond repair, and doesn’t have the magic and soul of previous games. Adding to it will only break it more, as we’ve seen hundreds of times. Building their entire franchise on Sims 4 is a horrible idea and I bet they’re only doing it because they want to retain as many of the 80 million players and counting as possible. Project Rene and the other spin offs they have planned will be inherently broken too since they’re attached to 4. If they decided to make 5 and still do Project Rene and the others, I’d be more forgiving. But it’s clear now more than ever that EA is only listening to suits who don’t play the game and have no idea how it works or what simmers actually want. This was the kick I needed to delete my game and wait for Paralives! Sorry for this 5 paragraph essay of a comment, but as someone who’s played the sims since Sims 1, I’m more than pissed lol!
