He's the reason I fell in love with JCSS. I aways knew about it but thought it was this creepy religious thing and Never looked deeper till I was on a ton minchin Bing and heaven on their minds popped up. I love the entire rock opera now, Tim and Jerome battle for best Judas to me. They both have the dramatics but only Tim has the voice. I also love how angry Tim's Judas is, Jerome's Judas seems like a heartbroken soul desperately trying to reach Jesus. Tim's Judas is Jaded, sarcastic, angry and sexy.

With regards to what you were saying at the start, Devon. (The memes, and 'internet shared' news). It almost reminds me of the 1800's or something where you'd have a small town with a paper, a big headline and article, and there's one guy behind it! Dubious research and probably second hand information. Interesting that in these 'advanced' times where we can research almost anything as much as possible... we still have that knee jerk reaction. That was pretty hilarious, and clever what you added at the end about "Tim Munchin Jesus"! And, figuratively, I agree with with you about the explosion in your room -it's usually the guy that told you! And yeah kids you either get Santa Claus (who always has an alibi... terrible joke?) or Santa Claws (definitely a terrible joke!). Take care man.

0:50 Bo Burnham's last comedy show was Make Happy (2016). This year, his feature film directorial debut, Eighth Grade, was realesed, and it was very well-received by critics.
@Pops50334 жыл бұрын
there was a time in history where people were being buried alive and would awaken later. they had no discernible heartbeat pulse or breath. it got so commonplace that people were being buried with a bell on a string so in case they were alive they could pull the string and ring the bell. so being "dead" for 3 days was not an uncommon thing.

You weren't far off when you said Tim Minchin was the original. He was heavily inspired by the man who mastered musical comedy decades ago, being Victor Borge. You should check him out sometime. The man was pretty brilliant.

Tim is probably the best at this kind of thing, but if you want a different - crazier - kind of musical comedy… are you familiar with Victor Borge? Not as layered as Tim (were any comedy acts in the mid 20th century?), but many of his bits are quite funny.

Dude, as much as I respect you and you remind me of my best friend (who isn't Jesus, just a lightish skinned black guy born in September of '71) You must know that "Jesus" is a Greek word, if the man existed, his name was arguably Jeshua, and according to local custom, his full name would have been Jeshua Ben Josip, but there is basically no evidence that he either existed and wasn't just a conglomeration of all the "Messianic types" around at that time! The Romans collated and edited the bible for 350 years or so, and didn't allow it to be spoken in anything but Latin for over a thousand years after it's release! While I admire your skepticism on the veracity of "God and Company", a small amount of research, say two full days, will have you as confused as me over why such violence is being wreaked over the tiny part of the Middle East that does not contain any oil! Not telling you to do or read anything, but all the information is available!

The references he first gives to Jesus being short, Jewish, political, hesitant and analytical, are all traits that can be attributed to Woody Allen. This of course sets the theme of the rest of the song, which is to compare Jesus's traits and his alleged actions with other similar things and people.

im just gonna say it up front. im an atheist. i don't believe in god. i was never presented with sufice evidence for the existance of a god, most of the arguments iv'e heard "prooving" gods existance or "disprooving" my atheism were pretty weak and those that had some merit to them i had answers for. regardless of that i think your stance on that matter is somewhat problematic. by the logic you presented there should be no way to prove gods exictance to you, nothing that will or might have ever happen would be sufice evidence. its problematic because it means that your dissbelief in god is dissconected to reality. so theoretically, even if there was a god you still wouldnt believe in it. which means your dissbelief is just as much a matter of belief as people who do believe in god
@DouglasFurlong4 жыл бұрын
I believe you may be confusing atheist and agnostic. Atheism is very much a faith, in that you don't believe, where as an agnostic simply believes there is no evidence either way. From the few videos I've watched of Devon's I would have thought he's more agnostic that atheist.
