Meaning it cannot make up for his size.... because someone with more size can also have the same level of humility in addition to their extra size. They aren't related at all. I agree that your humility probably helped you become a better athlete, i think it helped me... it didnt make me any faster though, so here i am.

@@jamesj1182 Hate to break it to you lad, but speed and size aren’t skills either. They are physical traits. Humility is a mental one. Humility allows you to understand your own weaknesses and adjust accordingly while arrogance over values what you have to offer. I’d say the original comment was completely accurate in stance

Oh it definitely matters. There's levels to this. So many people have been great in college, but turned out to be a bust when they turn pro. But we will see.

I feel his pain. I can eat all day everyday, imma still be 165-175 the most. Im 6’1. My body is just a fat burning machine, it is what it is...thats me. I had to learn to accept it and move on, girls don’t care so i don’t care lol.

You're probably very active sports wise.Youre probably burning more than you're putting in.I look back on when I was 6'2 174lbs at 21 playing basketball 4-5 times weekly.I was eating well, but used to sweat crazy, even my legs sweated.When I stopped playing ball, the gut came and refuses to leave.

True, but I don't even think that will effect him. It's moreso about can he be used over the middle, and can he sustain the punishment from those bigger safety's & linebackers. And even that is a bit overblown when he's been healthy his entire college career in the best conference in cfb.

This is how life works: Once this kid is successful, everybody will start trying to get the clone.QBs used to be pocket passers and lilly white....now what do most teams crave? It just take one to break the mold, plus when they can't find any holes in your game, they start looking for other things.Devonta just open the door for other slim guys like us ( well I used to be)

Marvin Harrison had a Top ALL Time QB throwing to him his entire career. Manning always put the ball where Harrison wouldn't get destroyed, and the Colts preached going to the ground instead of taking big hits. Smith is going to have to put on 15 pounds of muscle to survive those hits in the NFL.

Hes gonna b good. Me and him are the same height 6'1. Beginning of 2020 i was 168 lbs waking up. Now 16 months later, i wake up to 188 lb, and I still do pushups, sit ups every other day. He can gain weight easily with the right timing and strong meals. With all the resources in his disposal, he can get to 200 lbs by the end of his rookie contract.

175 - 185 is probably more optimal for him. He's never gonna be a huge guy (which Sharpe addresses here) and he doesn't need to be, but a few extra pounds probably won't hurt.

1. everyone has different metabolisms 2. he has speed and agility to work on with the weight. hes not gunna gain 30 pounds and lose out on speed. you can lose speed but his career is determined off speed..

I weighed the same as a freshman. Never was given the ball be of my size, graduated HS and I'm healthier, faster, stronger, quicker, and better at football than ANYBODY I played on the team with. It's funny because I kinda knew I was better.

People are missing the point. There's no doubt that Smith can perform well at his weight in the NFL. The question is whether or not he can take the hits at that weight. Because he's going to take some big hits in the NFL.

Your body is everything in contact sports, especially FOOTBALL, being 6’1 170 seems utterly ridiculous for an nfl WR, that’s why it’s a controversial topic, I personally see him becoming a top 10 WR very soon in the NFL because even though is underweight for his height, he’s still an elite WR

He doesn’t have straight burner speed like tyreek but he’s got that 6th gear he can just shift into to make the catch.

Lot of strongest martial artist street fighters in history were slim muscle and not compact at all and be small as Bruce lee and can dish out heavy hits taking down way bigger opposition that’s 5 times bigger If you can survive martial art training that prep you for all or nothing situations that involves vital spots then you can survive football hits These media critics acting like devonta is a midget being at a disadvantage

He has to beat EVERYONE off the line! Cause physical CB's will press him. But at that size I can't figure it out ...I think COVID-19 helped him land. Not saying he isn't a talent....but come on! Depending on the type of DB's he is matched with changes the game. against corners with

Can anyone explain this. I'm 5'11" 240lbs 30% body fat 37% muscle, but I can see my abs. My BMI is above 30, but people say I look skinny. All my numbers say I'm obese, but I have muscle cuts and I'm quite slender.

Only thing im worried about is him getting injured a lot. Size helps with the impacts. I know as long as he stays healthy he is going to kill in the nfl.

His weight won’t affect him the same way height doesn’t affect Tyreek Hill.. Even so. give him 2-3 years in an NFL facility with trainers can always get bigger / Stronger

@@ac_0067 dude is a pro. He has elite route running & quickness. His 40 time wasn't top speed but it was decent. Watching him on TV, dude is a burner. He's a little small, weight wise, so if he can consistently beat press coverage, dude well be an All-Pro. Mark my words...

I don't see why he can't be exactly like Ty Hilton if not better. I don't think TY weighs over 190, could be wrong but I doubt it.

Lol it’s hard to gain weight when you got fast metabolism. Plus he plays football and he’s very active, he can’t try experimenting sedentary lifestyle for a bit.
