As someone who just spent 180 hours in one giant run romancing Lae'zel from the beginning and reloaded a save just so I could finally get a happy ending with said character, I can confirm she did a fantastic job breathing life into Lae'zel.

I have been fully immersed into BG3, but I recently found out she also does Tzarina Katarin in Total War:Warhammer 3 and I was absolutely blown away. 2 of my favorite games the last few years.

because BG3 has so much Motion Capture it seems like they picked actors who look like their characters for the companions and a few other NPCs. it is part of what makes BG3 so awesome and its way above simple voice acting in effectiveness and difficulty. larian and the actors all did amazing work! I am well over 1000 hours into the game and nowhere near bored. LaeZel/Devora is one of the best parts .. but all the Companions are excellent, plus of course all the baddies: Raphael (best song), Orin, Kethric snd Gortash. The dream companion (female) actor Diana Bermudez and Alfira/Rebecca Hannsen who actually sings Alfiras songs IRL for the game. all amazing. (I only use the female dream companion so i dont know about the male version.)

I actually had to restart the game, because I had gotten to a point where my character had gotten intimate with Lae'zel, but really wanted to be with Shadowheart - but having seen videos about how sweet the end of the Lae'zel romance could be, I didn't have the heart to dump Lae'zel - it was preferable to reboot the entire game universe!

Devora as Lae’zel > Neil as Astarion. I’m just waiting for the inevitable Astarion backlash for everyone else to recognize it. Not that Neil was bad or anything. But Lae’zel was a bit deeper of a unique fantasy character but Astarion was more like your sexiest gay friend role playing a vampire stereotype. Still fun but Devora made a new archetype.

Lae'zel is the most annoying character IMO. So much so that it drove me to decimate the Githyanki Crèche in the Rosymorn Monastry and any Githyanki I came across infront of Lae'zel. Then lastly when Orin kidnapped lae'zel and held her hostage, it was satisfying to tell Orin, "Her fate is of no interest to me" and subsequently watch Orin plunge her daggers through both Lae'zel's eyes. Thats how much I hate that character and the githyanki apes.
