Why have a devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary? Because going to Jesus through Mary is the means by which he came to us. Jesus came to us through Mary, so we honour God by doing back to Him the same way.

Thanks for talking about Mary! You can not believe the amount of HATE I get from trying to spread the prayer, "Jesus, Mary, I love you save souls!." Protestants seem to troll Catholic channels & go crazy about Mary. Saying she's dead, she was a sinner, has no power, & worse. Small wonder we have to do first Saturday reparation for what was done toward her. GOD bless your work 👍 👍 👍 people please give these people a 👍 for all their efforts.

I, too, am consecrated to Mary--now for more than 25 years (Feast of Immaculate Conception was my silver anniversary!). It was the greatest gift I gave myself. Mary is always available. I also know of no Son, who would ever deny a fervent request of His mother. This is why I go to Mary: she is a woman, the mother of God; she understands humanity and divinity. She was never confused about her priorities. She will know what is in my intelligent, best interests. She will go to her Son with those requests of mine that are legitimately in my intelligent, best interests. Her Son, when asked by his "beloved Mother" will never deny her requests. That is why I go through Mary to her Son. I love Mary. I go to Mary so she will ask her Son for me because she is so much more worthy than I will ever be to ask a favor of her Son.

Christ does not deny requests. That is what faith in Jesus is. He said so. Love the Lord with all your heart and what you ask shall be given thee. You can ask. Believers can ask.

Lovely video. I apologise if the following is lengthy, but I would like to share something with you. I converted to Catholicism in 2013 and I was baptised and confirmed in 2014 at the Easter vigil. Prior to my conversion, I dabbled in Buddhism, Hinduism, Hare Krishna, Wicca, Witchcraft, new age and the occult, but none of them satisfied me. Out of curiosity, I visited my local Catholic church and started to read the books and booklets that were available. After a few weeks of studying and researching the Catholic faith, I was convinced that it had the fullness of truth, but a part of me was hesitant to fully commit, so I met with the priest and we talked for a while (I think it was once a week) and I decided that the Catholic church was my home. I will admit, the first couple of years were great and I was on fire with zeal, but then the occult started to lure me back. I managed to fight off the urges for years but this year has been exceedingly tough and I relented. I am currently embroiled in a situation that is distressing and I have been kept away from my children and fiancé in a hostel, while my accusers try to ruin my reputation with pitiless and precarious accusations. Not surprisingly, Satan tried to lure me back to the occult and I stumbled momentarily and dabbled in rituals to try to get a sense of control, but I was then involved in a serious car crash this February that put things into perspective. A drug-driver T-boned me at 90mph on top of a mountain, which caused my car to spin and roll 3 times. Apparently, I was knocked unconscious (I still have total amnesia of the crash) and I was in a very mild coma for a while. Before I regained consciousness, I remember being in a vast blackness. I was suspended in this darkness and it almost had a thick texture, like smog. It felt hopeless and lonely. I think this was the state of my soul. When I came to, I was praying the hail Mary. I am convinced Mary intervened in the crash and begged God to give me a second chance. It was such a bad crash and my car was a total write off, but I only sustained a dislocated clavicle, 24 stitches to my right ear and a concussion. Another 2 rolls and my car would have gone off the mountainside and more still, my airbags didn’t deploy, so it is a miracle that I escaped with only the above injuries. When I was able, I ran to confession and confessed my sins with true contrition. I have always had a devotion to Mary and her Holy Rosary, even when the occult lures me, but I can honestly say that she brought me to her son. When I am in doubt, Mary encourages me to have recourse to Jesus and His church. When I am struggling, Mary holds my hand and leads me our Lord. It is wonderful that the more devotion I have to Mary, the more love I have for Jesus and His church. I am thankful for my crash because I know it is God who saves and not the occult. I am currently on my third 54-day rosary novena and I pray God's will be done in my life. Jesus, Mary I love you, save souls. Please say a prayer for me. God bless.

uniformity with God's will - it is a very short book packed with life-changing truths. Also, “Prayer, the great means of Salvation” would be another good place to start. I am no academic either 😀 but I find his writings very accessible. Hope this helps.

You guys are great! What an example you two are as a catholic couple. My 18 year old son was telling me about a girl he likes. She asked him if he was Christian. He said "no. I'm Roman catholic". I laughed! Honey! We are the first, original Christians! We ARE the real Christians! I was shocked. I thought he understood this concept. Wow! We have to be careful as cradle catholics not to take anything for granted. Obviously he had been taught but he didn't grasp this concept! I convinced him. To be Christian means to be Christlike... right? We catholics were the ONLY Christians for centuries!

Thank you for your ministry. I have never heard of the idea that Jesus was suffering in the womb. It is a beautiful idea of the continuous suffering that Jesus endured due to our sins but am struggling as to how the saint would have come to that belief? I thought Jesus became fully human which I would think would not include a sense of suffering confinement that is suggested in the reflection. I don't think that is the human experience. I think most of us think it should be a state of love and protection. Is everything a saint says divinely inspired?
@Catholicspeaker
@Catholicspeaker 2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your thoughts. I think the one additional thought to add to this is to remember that while Jesus was fully man, He never ceased to be fully God. Jesus it not a human person, but a divine person with two natures, a human nature and a divine nature. This has to do with what the Church calls, the Hypostatic Union. For further study I have provided some articles and quotes below. www.catholic.com/encyclopedia/hypostatic-union www.catholic.com/magazine/online-edition/is-jesus-a-human-person 481 Jesus Christ possesses two natures, one divine and the other human, not confused, but united in the one person of God's Son. 482 Christ, being true God and true man, has a human intellect and will, perfectly attuned and subject to his divine intellect and divine will, which he has in common with the Father and the Holy Spirit. 483 The Incarnation is therefore the mystery of the wonderful union of the divine and human natures in the one person of the Word.

There is new information in regards to Medjugorje. It is NOT an approved apparition and has been condemned by the Conference of Bishops in Bosnia/Herzegovina. There’s also Bishop Andrea Gemma (who’s also an exorcist that claims it’s demonic)They made a statement that there is “Nothing supernatural” in regards to any visions etc. None of the visionaries have sought vocational life, the original priest, their spiritual director, has been defrocked after leading a very sinful life and most of the visionaries have become very wealthy even living in million-dollar mansion upstate NY…They are no longer welcome at St James, the local church. “Senses Fidelium” has a video on KZbin “Our Lady of Medjugorje Protects the head of the Serpent”

Now we know why OUR HOLY MOTHER pondered everything. Sometimes it is better to say a little, instead of too much! St JOSEPH was also a man of few words, probably because HE knew how dangerous the wrong words could be. A good example of this was with the King at the time who beheaded Saint John The Baptist, when he with his words offered too much to his brother's wife and daughter, and then fell into their evil trap! Thank You Ken and Jenelle. It is not always easy to change people's minds and hearts on OUR BEAUTIFUL HOLY MOTHER. However this does not STOP ME from LOVING HER AND HONOURING HER, AS GOD wants us to do. SHE is the BEST FEMALE ROLE MODEL in the Universe, and I will always BE FAITHFUL TO MOTHER MARY, no matter what other ignorant people say about OUR LADY...in time they will find out, and then they'll soon eat their words!!! 💃💕🙏🌟✨✨✨

Why does the Salutation/Greetings of Angel Gabriel to Blessed Mary was made for pray? Why does the proclamation of St. Elizabeth (cousin of Mary) was also converted to a prayer? Do we have a right to choose any passages we do like in the Bible and make it into a Standard prayer to God? Why not make a prayer out of the written BEATITUDES it was also in the Bible, just like "Hail Mary?"

Just curious. Why does no New Testament writer ever mention praying to Mary? And did you know that in the Bible, in both the Old and the New Testament, all Believers always pray DIRECTLY to God the Father. And in the New Testament it's always directly to God the Father, "in the name of Jesus". In fact when the disciples asked Jesus himself how to pray he said: "... your Father knows what you need before you ask Him. Pray, then, in this way: ‘Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come..." Matthew 6:8‭-‬9 And... "But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you." Matthew 6:6 Prayer is a rational, relational conversation with the One who loves us. And in God's Word Jesus himself intercedes for us, not his human mother. This is exactly what it says: "Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them." Hebrews 7:25 Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us. Romans 8:34 And the Holy Spirit: In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; Roman 8:26 That's good enough for me. So, in conclusion, in the Bible the idea is NOT to go to the Son's human mother (or to anyone else), who then goes to the Son, who then goes to the Father with your request. No, your Heavenly Father's wish and desire is that you go DIRECTLY to Him with all your prayers and petitions. I'm not kidding. Check it out for yourself. So why go in little circles when the Father wants, and even commands, that we come directly to Him. "In that day you will ask in My name, and I do not say to you that I will request of the Father on your behalf; for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me and have believed that I came forth from the Father." John 16:26‭-‬27 It's as though I was a simple little employee in a huge giant corporation. And the President/Owner of the corporation adopted me and loved me and told (ordered) me that any time I had a problem or a request, I was to go directly to him, and he would handle it. Perfect. As for me I think I'll just stick with God's Word and go on "drawing near to God (the Father) through Him (Jesus)", being that I want to be "saved forever". I just figure God must know what he's talking about. After all, he is omniscient. "...for the Father Himself loves you" . Anything else is pure human reasoning. No thanks. Christ and his Word are sufficient. I'll end with this: "Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them." Hebrews 7:25 We are to "draw near to God through him (Christ Jesus)". The unbiblical Roman Catholic practice of praying to Mary and the "Saints" has exactly the opposite effect. It distances us from God instead of drawing us near to him in Christ Jesus. “You are experts at setting aside the commandment of God in order to keep your tradition." Mark 7:9 "The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it." John 1:5 This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him. 1 John 5:14‭-‬15 Anyhow, that's what I do. I pray directly to my Heavenly Father out of simple obedience. After all He's done for me it's the least I can do. Obey, and not invent my own religion. Seems like you all have made a whole other religion out of Jesus' very human mother.

You do you…your not open to learning or understanding as evident in your post. My spiritual life has been deeply enriched through Mary leading me to her son. I am a former Protestant and the Catholic faith is the fullness of God, I was missing so much beauty in that former church pew. Prayers to you…praying the Blessed Mother warms your heart.

Don't You know that our Wisdom is mere foolishness compared to GOD'S Wisdom? The word Pray means to Communicate.... There is nothing wrong with Communicating with "OUR QUEEN OF HEAVEN AND EARTH," as well as Our HEAVENLY FATHER. THY WILL(OUR FATHERS) BE DONE on EARTH, AS IT IS IN HEAVEN. Whether You believe it, or even like it. OUR HEAVENLY MOTHER IS GOING TO CRUSH THE HEAD OF THE SERPENT. AND IT WILL BE THROUGH OUR HEAVENLY QUEEN, THAT JESUS CHRIST WILL RETURN AGAIN. HALLELUJAH, HALLELUJAH. GOD Bless You and Your Family. Ps know matter what You say about JESUS CHRIST MUM, AND OUR BEAUTIFUL MUM....I Will not hear it, especially if it is BELITTLING AND DISRESPECTFUL TO THE QUEEN OF ALL THE SAINTS AND HOLY ANGELS. Yes it is IMPORTANT to go into Your UPPER ROOM and Talk to OUR HOLY FATHER, and Have a Loving Relationship with OUR FATHER. HOW CAN YOU LOVE WHAT YOU DON'T KNOW? It's also important to remember WHO was right there in the centre of the Upper Room with All the DISCIPLES when they received the HOLY SPIRIT? MOTHER MARY! WHO told JESUS, it was time to perform his first Miracle at "The Wedding Feast in CANA?" MOTHER MARY. Who was there with JESUS Throughout HIS CRUCIFIXION & RESURRECTION? MOTHER MARY. Who Carried JESUS for 9 months in THEIR WOMB? MOTHER MARY GOD NEVER DOES ANYTHING BY HALVES, SO GOD WILL HAVE HAD (AND HAS) A VERY DEFINITE PLAN FOR MARY, THE MOTHER OF HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON "JESUS", VERY HUMBLE AS SHE IS, SHE IS MORE THAN AN ORDINARY WOMAN, SHE IS EXTRAORDINARY! THANK GOD! 😀💕🙏 Ofcourse GOD TAKES FIRST Place in OUR HEARTS, HE IS OUR PAPA. JESUS is OUR BROTHER, The HOLY SPIRIT is OUR TEACHER. And MARY is OUR MOTHER. ST JOSEPH also has a VERY IMPORTANT ROLE to PLAY Too. That is Why This Year was, "THE YEAR OF SAINT JOSEPH," "TERROR of DEMONS." . OUR HEAVENLY FATHER has a PURPOSE FOR EVERYONE, And OUR LADY, AND ST JOSEPH, ARE PIVITOL IN GOD'S PLAN WITH JESUS CHRIST their SON, IN HUMANITIES SALVATION!!! It's not JUST about KNOWING GOD'S WORD (Though GOD'S WORD is Definitely ON FIRE🔥), it's how WE ACT, and Put GOD'S COMMANDMENTS INTO ACTION. AND REPARATION/ FORGIVENESS. BEING CHARITABLE TO OUR NEIGHBOURS, ESPECIALLY THOSE IN GREATER NEED. GOD Bless You and Your FAMILY, Especially This Christmas! 💕💕💕🙏

Based on the other blog, the Rosary came to existence around 1214 A.D. only thru Saint Dominic given by Blessed Virgin Mary. Therefore, the Apostles and early Christianity do not have the practice of praying the Rosary. Christ Jesus did not teach his Apostles/Disciples about the Rosary prayer but instead, He taught them the "Lord's Prayer," as a simple and short prayer without repetition (babbling) as a guide pattern for our personal prayer to God. I truly love, respect, and honor Blessed Mary in a Biblical way (manner) as the surrogate mother of Christ Jesus humanity (Body/Flesh), but not the Divine Nature of Christ (LOGOS/WORD). It is not appropriate to call Blessed Mary as the "Mother of GOD" for she has nothing to do with the Divine Nature of Christ (GOD) for the Son of God existed along with the Father God in His bosom and before Blessed Mary were even created/born. Therefore, "Mother of Jesus" or "Mother of Christ," is the right and appropriate title and acknowledgment for her, but not "Mother of GOD." I also have a problem with the title "VIRGIN" attached to Blessed Mary... The bible stated by Mary herself, who said, "I will be called BLESSED among women." She did not say, "I will be called BLESSED VIRGIN among women." The original manuscript that was written and prophesied by Prophet Isaiah was "Ha Alma" which means "Young Maiden/girl." The word maiden/girl does not always necessarily mean to be virgin, based on the bible... Remember the only daughter of Jacob, after Dinah was raped, she was still called "Ha Alma" (Maiden), as a young girl without a husband. God the father just needs a "Full of Grace" young girl (Ha Alma) who happens to be a virgin at that time without a husband yet, (only betrothal/fiancee) when the visitation of Angel Gabriel occurred to ask her own permission (freewill) whether she will accept or reject the task given to her by GOD, to use her WOMB as a vessel to carry the Humanity (Flesh/Body) for the Son of GOD. in modern terminology, it is called, 'SURROGATE MOTHER."... Why is it so? In Hebrew 10:5 (paraphrased) Christ said, "a PREPARED BODY (flesh) was created for me by my Father." In this sense, there was no fertilization of the Egg of Mary by the Holy Spirit to create the Flesh of Christ Jesus. It was already a prepared body by God the Father long before Mary was born. It was placed by GOD the "Prepared Body" (most likely perhaps a 3 to 7 days old fetus) to Mary's womb. In modern technology today, it is proven to be successfully possible to implant a fetus to a surrogate mother, the same way what GOD have done 2000 years ago in Israel. Now, regarding the "PERPETUAL (Forever) VIRGINITY of Blessed Mary," the Bible does not support that because according to the scripture, St. Joseph himself attested and said, "I never knew my wife (Mary) until (after) Christ Jesus was born and called HIm Jesus" (paraphrase Matt. 1:25)_. The word "KNEW" was a modest way of stating a "Marital Sexual Consummation" relationship between husband and wife... Therefore, regardless of whether Blessed Mary has other children, (which is debatable) the fact supported by the Bible, was that her virginity was gone after Christ Jesus was born... To deny this Biblical narration by St. Joseph means the Bible is wrong and lied to us. Regarding, ASSUMPTION of Blessed Mary which means she did not taste death, for her body was taken by the Angels in Heaven as a doctrine of Catholic was also not supported by the Bible. Why? First, it was not written in the scripture, and second, is it odd, that Apostle John who happens to be the caregiver of Blessed Mary did not even write a single letter/epistle or document to prove the Assumption of Blessed Mary?... How come Apostle John did not even recognize in Revelation 12, the woman clothed with the Sun with a crown of 12 stars on her head? Why John did not recognize the Woman as Blessed Mary? Apostle John should have written, "A mystery in Heaven, I (John) saw Blessed Mary clothed with the Sun with a crown of 12 stars on her head." But it was not written that way because the woman was not truly Blessed Mary, for the woman symbolized as a Nation like Israel (People (Jews) of GOD) or perhaps Church of GOD (Christians) but definitely not Blessed Mary. Another thing, the title "IMMACULATE CONCEPTION (without original sin) of Blessed Mary," was not also supported by the Holy Scripture (Bible). The word "FULL OF GRACE" does not mean without original sin for St. Stephen was also called Full of Grace with Power, yet he tasted death from stoning... In Luke 1:46-49 (paraphrase) Blessed Mary said and proclaimed, "My (Mary) soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in GOD, my SAVIOR." It is very clear from her own statement, that Blessed Mary acknowledged that she needs a Savior... A person who is "SINLESS" does not need a Savior. In Roman 3:23 (paraphrase) it says, "For ALL have sinned and fall short of the Glory of GOD." It did not say, "except Blessed Mary, all sinned and fall short in the Glory of GOD." To deny this written scripture that ALL (no exception/all human) sinned and fall short means the Bible is a fraud, incorrect, wrong, and lied to us... Lastly, the titles "Queen of Heaven" and "Queen of Peace", this titles were nowhere to be found in the Bible. From Isaiah 9:6 (paraphrase) Christ Jesus was called the "Prince of Peace." Now, if Blessed Mary is truly the Queen of Peace as the Catholic proclaimed, logically speaking, it only follows to show that Blessed Mary is higher than Christ Jesus, for a Queen is higher in position or rank than a Prince... That is why the "Queen of Peace" nor the "Queen of Heaven" are not appropriate titles for Blessed Mary, biblically speaking... Amen.

The Bible clearly stated that we need not BABBLE (repeating over and over in a single prayer) from our prayers like the heathen (pagan/gentiles) do. Christ Jesus taught His Apostles to keep it short and simple, because before they ask GOD thru prayer what they need, GOD knows it already. Christ Jesus taught a simple and short prayer to GOD which is the "Lord's Prayer" as a guide pattern to our personal prayer... Could anybody justify the logic and spiritual explanation why we need to pray more than 50 times (actual 53X) the "Hail Mary" and "Holy Mary," respectively in the rosary? Why not 10 or 12 times, nor 40 times only? And also why not 7 or 3 mysteries instead of 4 or 5 mysteries? These numbers 10, 12, 40, 3, 7 are all Biblical numbers written. Can someone logically explain to us why?

Yes, meditation will not save you. Meditation uses the intellect. God guides your intellect to better understand what Jesus said and did, and show you how you can apply this understanding to your life. Meditation that doesn't lead to action is selfish and a waste of God's time and yours. This is Christian meditation.

One thing that is glaringly absent from this video: Scripture. Not one of the things you said about Mary is backed up by Scripture. She is not the perfect lover, God is. Jesus is. God will not share His glory with another. Mary cannot hear your prayers at all. She cannot assist you to get to Christ at all. The incarnation was truly a glorious thing, and it’s a paradox. Nevertheless, Mary was only the humble servant of God, that’s all. Jesus never commanded us to adore His mother the way you’re doing. It’s just another form of idol worship, and you need to repent.

We do not worship Mary. We honor her and her place in redemptive history. She is holy because God made her holy so she could carry the second person of the trinity. God is absolute holiness. Think of how holy the ark of the old covenant was in the Old Testament. Mary is the ark of the new covenant.

When the angel greets Mary, he says hail full of grace. That Greek word for full of grace is used only one other time in the New Testament. And the Greek words meaning is to grace someone with the redemptive powers of Christ. So Mary had this blessing on her before she even conceived and was born without original sin. She had to be to carry the most holy son of God

I have this disgusting idea of the Catholic Church. But. Ultimately, if the Catholic Church is your church, i will go. Just show me one way or the other”. I begged God to lead me otherwise but nonetheless once I opened my heart, here I am getting confirmed. Protestants have such a grotesque misconception of Catholicism and it’s SO sad because they are missing out on Christs Chruch!!!!!! WHERE in the WORLD do they think they even got the Bible from in the first place?! For some reason the idea of Jesus starting a literal visual church for people to be able to trust and take shelter in is such an abomination to Protestants. But WHY?! What on earth about that idea is so off putting?! He was GRACIOUS enough to GIVE US A VISIBLE, AUTHORITATIVE CHURCH! How many church’s did Jesus start,? ONE!!!! TO THE CATHOLICS FROM GOD: JESUS IS NOT GOD. NOTICE WHEN JESUS REFERS TO HIMSELF AND GOD HE USES WORDS LIKE AS ONE, OURS, WE, US ETC., WHICH MEANS EMMANUEL GOD WITH US. GOD IS WITH AND IN JESUS, GOD IS WITH AND IN ME, GOD IS WITH AND IN ALL WHO LOVES AND OBEYS HIM, BUT THAT DON’T MAKE US GOD HIMSELF, THE TRINITY THREE PERSONS, ONE GOD. MOST SEE THIS THE WRONG WAY THEY THINK JESUS IS GOD, BUT JESUS SAID SO MANY THINGS CONTRARY TO THIS IN THESE VERSES. HE EXPLAINS HE’S NOT GOD, HE SAID APART FROM GOD HE CAN DO NOTHING JOHN 5:30, HE SAID HE AND THE FATHER ARE ONE JOHN 10:30, HE SAID WE CAN BE ONE WITH (THEM) JOHN 17:21-22, HE SAID WHY CALL HIM GOOD? NONE IS GOOD BUT ONE, THAT’S GOD MATTHEW 9:17, HE SAID HIS DOCTRINE IS NOT HIS, BUT GOD’S JOHN 7:16-18, AND SO MUCH MORE. WE MUST ALLOW GOD TO REMOVE THE BLINDNESS FROM OUR EYES, OR WE REMAIN LOST.
