I got the privilege of seeing them here in Colorado Springs with the Octopus Project opening for them. I bought the tour poster and managed to get all of the members from DEVO to sign the ticket. It still hangs on the wall to this date

The first time I saw this, I heard the line "the lucky ones are gonna be the first to go" negatively, as in "first to die" (believe me, I'm actually a fairly upbeat dude!). At about the fourth or fifth listen I heard it the opposite way - "go" wherever but still very much alive. Whew, what a relief! And I love the "Theme From A Summer Place" intro.

In the 70s they created an influential rock/experimental punk album which influenced generations to come. In the 80's they created the tightest synth pop album ever to be created and continued to create and to perform through the 2010's where they made an undeniable bop like this. In the 2020'a they belong in the Hall of Fame. I won't stop until DEVO is in the Hall of Fame. I want them to be there now so they can fully enjoy it, before more original members pass into music immortality.
