SO Not only did we discover hidden update material for dinosaurs ( Thanks bhal! ) We get to see a new take on the "cannibal" which i like a lot more than the current concept and in-game model. Cannibles is actually a *VERY* suiting name for them tho since there DNA is a mix of human and some dino DNA meaning its yes a cannible to both humans and whatever dino species the cannible is...so cannible is very very suiting for them

The "Cannibal" seems to be inspired by the Vendigo (for example the one from Supernatural season 1 episode 2). By design (the very long arms and legs) and what hes about. The backstory is more interesting. Because the story of the Vendigo is based of real life events when a plane crashes or people gets lost in the mountains or woods they start to eat other humans (in emergencys) and that changes the mind of human. In fiction of Vendigos the consum of other human meat increases ur speed, strengh and aggression so it turns into a wild smart beast with climbs on trees and jumping from trees to others or chasing all they want. Same with the ones at Unil Dawn. Its an interesting creature with I look up too. So I think it makes sence that its sounds mutch like a Vendigo (with is a cannibal correctly cause it was a human change by cannibalism)..... I actually really love that step backwards and the idea for the tail curl, because the way his calls sound in general it gives the impression that the Nycta went through hell so it's behavior replicates it's calls similarly (this is just me spewing things). But I do like that step back for sure.

That's a lot better of a cannibal design tbh, less human and more alien, thus a few more points in the creep department. Also for the nycta, the quills should pull up not down, when pissed off or angry, just like the wip versions you already have going, as most animals with frills or feathers or similar displays tend to use them for intimidation. They want to look larger and less appealing. Looking rad so far though!

I think the Nycta lowering down to the ground as it's threaten animation is better. Taking a step forward means expending energy stored in the muscles. So most creatures would tend to step back, lower their body and tense up. As for this case the same applies. Perhaps with the quills on it's back raising, and the tail lashing out all flared open, to represent a warning and aggressiveness as it prepares to strike at it's opponent. Also my little brother has a green Voltron jacket, went dressed as Pidge for Halloween, and got himself a bag full of candy and chocolate.

I think a cool nycta agression roar anim would be where it steps back, twists it's head sideways as if it's saying "are you challening ME?" And then steps forward with the same leg and roars.

I think the tail would look better curling upwards rather than down as you mentioned. I feel like it may look a little weird curling down, and since the nycta has that flourish on the end of its tail, it would make sense if it waved it around in the air to scare off whatever its roaring at.

Your Dino looks amazing. I absolutely love it but I think that maybe flicking the tail up and spreading the plate out a bit further than normal and making the spines flick out would look really cool and in my opinion a little more threatening then tucking it in. Most animals tuck there tails in when they are being timid and backing down and a lot of animals try to make themselves look bigger than they actually are to threaten others and make them back down. Other than that I think the creature looks incredible and I cant wait to see it in your game play. Thanks for taking the time to read my comment.

I like the step back it takes during the three call, you should maybe make it so the arms would throw out, and the tail points a bit more upward. Overall, I love the design of that 3 call. Plus add the teeth you were talking about

I think it would be a cool idea to use the Aztec death whistle as component for a dino or creature sound. It's a whistle that sounds like a creepy human scream so I think it'd be a good fit for the 'not-a-cannibal' or one of dondi's mutant dinos. xD

I actually believe all the dinos In the actual game would be modified and updated By the end of the games complete stage and i am guessing that the hypos wont be playable anytime soon as i think there gonna be the last stage of the game for it to be completed. i ALSO Think a water update could be coming with Fish! and the sucho would be implemented. The austro and ava i think will get updated and improve there stats over all. Also the latching onto animals is gonna be dead for awhile i believe. This is my opinion anyone Object? and anthomnia loving the videos there so interesting and i can't stop watching them Good work!

The drawing canibal recreate looked cooler than the in game one that’s not in game the fangs could be longer and thinner at the bottom but thicker at the top were the gums connect to the teeth also toe tapping would be cool but instead of toe it should use it’s pointing or middle finger for tapping and one last idea, poisonous bite and webbed feet and hands

I think if your dino stepped forward it would look like it would be more of a "I will hurt you if you mess with me!" look instead of stepping back which to me looks more like "get away from me" or "Stay back" and is less threatening. :)

What if the "cannibal" used to be a human but accidently fell into some sort of substence that was in the same lab that the nycta was created? The substence was used to help make the nycta but it had a different affect on the human, making it larger and having long arms just like a dinosaurs? Then when the nycta escaped, the "cannibal" followed. That's my theory

The tail should go up as the nycta steps back and if you could get the tail and spots on the face and body to glow brighter would make it threatening. When I see the tail i think what would the purpose for it be. And I think it would be for intimidating hypos making it seem bigger and more threatening seeing a tall swinging glowing tail as well as a hissing roar with a mouthful of teeth a hype night think twice about attacking seeing it roar then the tail standing up like a cobras hood before it strikes

I would have thought, as the cannibal is being explained as some creature evolved to live around dinosaurs, the 4 legged thing, this game would need to have collision though, an attack for a pounce. If anyone else was thinking this, herras might have to watch out, and utahs won't be safe at port anymore, or on high places.

I think the 'cannibal' should as well have (if they end up adding communication) throat vibration styled calls. Like more of a hiss/herra sound with an addition of the sound of variable throat movement notices that may confuse and suspected prey item where the hunter is.

Hi umm I just wanted to say out an idea and all when you were talking about the "cannibal" I was thinking of the 2015 movie jurrasic world. And the indominus Rex bc in the DNA of it it had tree frog DNA which can basically automatically go in a camouflage state. To hide or about to attack on its prey or it might have been another DNA either or I think it would fit perfectly in the "cannibal" working. And about the clicks it makes there should be different variations to it like if it was in danger it would make louder like hissing clicks and while it's stalking it would make ones kinda like the predator and if it's about to attack it would make a hiss like roar I wanna say and if it was just not doin any think it would make a low tone clicking sounds and thats all I have to say so if you read this you can pm me if you want more ideas

I like this new design far better than the previous one. The more stout ones don’t stand out to me compared to so many monster models I’ve seen before. The reworked model seriously catches my eye and I’m dying to see it in game.
