Finally, this is the last Vs showdown between all the brushed 12v Drills, There's bloopers at the end of this one, more then a handful.

To be fair, this milwaukee M12 drill should be compared with dcd706 instead of dcd701. In addition, 4Ah battery is certainly powerful than 3Ah one.

I've got that Milwaukee, the chuck sometimes spins around a bit before it locks to tighten it, it's not bad for a 12v but I got the new 18v gen3 and that is so compact that the 12v is a bit redundant now. Good channel, it deserves more subscribers and I'm sure you'll get more eventually.

I never really use the clutch on drills and in 30 years of site work I have rarely seen anyone else use it. A decent variable speed trigger and a modicum of control over your finger is enough for most tradesmen. To be honest, I find them annoying as the clutch occasionally gets used accidentally when I am trying to drill a hole

Clutches are great to use when you are screwing the same fastener to the same torque, repetitively (like in a manufacturing environment). I worked in a place where they were screwing together speaker enclosures and they used Bosch drivers and its clutch all the time.

Im not much of a handy man and dont own any of these tools but this video popped up on my home page. I have to say i never thought little tools were so powerful now. I do notice a strong bias toward the red tool with this presenter. Just my humble opinion. Cool tools.
@littlemilto65635 жыл бұрын
I try not to be Biased as a reviewer, at the end of the video I did clearly state I was very happy to have both the tools and the Dewalt Drill with Milwaukee's GEN2 Impact would actually make a brilliant combination.

Hi Milton, Yes, i have to agree dewalt does have a nice handle on their tools. I don't like the feel of the milwaukee 12v barrel handle (battery into handle). Also it seems like DeWalt might need to add 6.0ah batteries to their 12v line. This might help out the 12v line with more power. You kind of proved it with using a 4.0ah battery on the milwaukee. Man, Vince and the VCG gang are going to have a fun with this one, LOL.. Good video
@littlemilto65635 жыл бұрын
I totally an utterly agree with you, they are going to need to bring out a bigger battery for the 12v systems or they are going to get totally outmatched.
@michaelc72835 жыл бұрын
@@littlemilto6563 I hope DeWalt gets a chance to see your video. Maybe this will help them to pursue larger batteries for the their 12v line tools.

I'm torn between the Dewalt dcd706 which is hammer just like the milwaukee m12 fuel because the handle looks like it will fit my little hands better but the rectangular battery on the Dewalt kinda defeat the point as still big clunky battery pack sticking out and I haven't seen any bigger amp batteries to replace the dcd706 with. As writing this comment there's like 15 quid difference in price but the Dewalt has a decent case instead of a bag..... Decision Decisions. I'm going around in circles here lol 😆

Hi Milto. Just wondering what you think the end result would have been if you ran both drills on 2AH ? maybe a future video ?? Just subscribed, good videos. All the best.

He will never do that because he's a Milwaukee guy he always gives Milwaukee advantage

2 - 3ah @ 3 cell type 18650 is good for 20A max 23A. With 6 cell is good gor 40- 46 A. Dewalt DCD 701 is rated 25,5 Nm soft torque and that is in speed 1. Hard torque 57,5 Nm is reached when in hard stop shock in speed 2 from inertia, momentum, and kitenic energy that is in relation with the speed squared. Dewalt need to make 4Ah packs with 21700 cells good for 40A+. The new 5Ah are stupid coz' the aded weight is in contradiction with the whole idea of light 10.8V tools.

When it comes to drills Dewalt is king Milwaukee might have the most powerful impacts but drills, circular, table, miter,grinders and rotary hammer drills Dewalt is second to none
@MihaiDobrin882 жыл бұрын
LOL dewalt is a good brand indeed with more balanced tools compared to milwaukee which is hit or miss. milwaukee has few tools which are top and rest of them are just decent tools while dewalt is fighting with almost every single tool they make to be on top unfortunately for dewalt is another brand brand with even more balanced tools than dewalt and better overall tools and that brand is no other than makita. however each brand and each tool they make have their own strengths and weaknesses. But however top 4 brands in terms of platform sales and popularity are by far makita bosch dewalt milwaukee followed by hitachi (hikoki / metabo hpt) and metabo and as extended list would add festool and hilti

M12 2nd gen??, Looks different than the one that Milwaukee distributes in America. Here the Chuck does not have the red strip. 😔

If it's about lies. DeWalt loves to lie or confuse their clients. Example 18v is 20v max. It confuse alot of people at the beginning. Not a lie but a confusion. Alot of people bought it thinking it was more volts.😁😁😁😁😁ect...
@loucifer3234 жыл бұрын
No Milwaukee is lying the true voltage is 20v get a tester and test the battery it will read 20.5 volts I don't care about under load
@heckeepagan26704 жыл бұрын
@@loucifer323 yeah. But they bought it thinking 20 v. Now when I get home I will charge it and it will be 22.5 when it's full charged. That was confusing for lots of people.😁😁😁 so from the store new it reads 18.7 that down alot of follower.
@matty_w4 жыл бұрын
@@loucifer323 you should care what it is under load (like when you're actually using it). 20V is the charging voltage, but if you were to look at a discharge profile of batteries, they aren't at maximum (charging) voltage for very long. That looks like a Chinese 4.0Ah batt on the Milwaukee. I'll tell you right now that's not a 4.0Ah batt. I've bought those China knockoffs and they're all cheap 2.0Ah cells inside no matter what the label says. I've taken them apart myself to confirm.

That's a UK version battery sticker. That's all. The Milwaukee white knights just won't quit. I like and own both. But I grab the DeWalt first. It's just more comfortable. Both get the job done, and done well.

I don't even see the purpose of 12 volt tools anymore when 18/20 volt tools are almost as small and light with more power and runtime
@rhonir32094 жыл бұрын
For me it's noise mainly. My Metabo with 10.8V is barely a nuisance and powerful enough for most tasks, for drilling very large holes i get my DeWalt 18V out but man, that thing is loud...
@emmarowley10963 жыл бұрын
For me it's about the size and the fact that I am a very petite woman who also has arthritis in both hands the 12v cordless are so much easier to handle especially in tight spaces like kitchen cupboards and tightening the hinges with the 12v battery pack fitting in the handle I just find it so much easier than the slightly bigger rectangular battery at the bottom. Whichever way you look at it we are so lucky to have the choice and how much power these smaller batteries have now compared with 15 years ago 😀
