*I used this on to align/place the boards for an accent wall, both vertical and horizontal (see attached pic) to create a grid pattern. It was super easy to use - I mounted it on a tripod I have. It made it easy to align each board before nailing. Very accurate and saved a lot of time, I know since I recently did a similar project without it. Also, the case is much nicer than I was expecting. I have this same laser,I could have gotten away with the standard AAA battery red cross live laser and saved£300 but I wanted this one. Tools as always are my favourite things, 😂😂

I have this laser and the fact that you can't remove it from the bottom bracket piece poses a problem for me. It makes it difficult to just line up out of the box because it's moving on the bracket. I spend at least 5 minutes getting it square. Seems pretty self-explanatory but maybe I'm doing something wrong. If you could possibly do another video showing your routine when using it out of the box I'd greatly appreciate it.

Charly Supertramp Good question! The DW0811LG it is definitely a not as well built as the DW089LG. The 89 has a rechargeable battery, better quality components, shoots a continuous 360 beam both horizontally and vertically, and is built more sturdy. While the 811 will still get the job done for simple applications, it’s more like the 89’s baby brother. Thanks !!

The 089LG has got an extra laser module, 2 vertical lines 90 degrees and 1 horizontal line. This vid is the 0811LG with 1 vertical and 1 horizontal line

Is it good for outdoors.

It works decent outside. Much better than the laser products that were on the market 8-10 years ago. That said the line can be read outside but in full sun or very bright conditions it can be challenging to see the line clearly. Also and probably obviously the line gets more blurry and distorted the further away you get from the actual laser unit. I hope this helps. Thanks !

Should have got the 3 beam Model #DW089LG-QU... You can square a floor with just the laser. Does 2 cross vertical beams and 1 horizontal beam.
