Instead of a bi=metal blade, try using a nine inch pruning blade, or even a wood blade. Kinda pricy at box stores(HD n Lowes), but a five pack at Harbor Freight under $10

Why is it that when people use a reciprecating saw they still can't help moving the saw like a normal saw back and forward. Even you were doing it. 😂

It actually helps to create a ridge the cut through the thinner part. Another reason if you have a blade that's constantly cutting on just a few teeth and begin to dull in that area. Moving it around can speed up the process by letting sharper teeth do the job. Added bonus the most used teeth get less use. Have you ever used one before?
