I’ve only tried out that gun for a few minutes....my thoughts hell no! Sooo big, so slow! I’m still holding out for the day these cordless nailers are much closer to their air brethren:). Good review Brent:)

It's a bit of a love/hate with this thing. Hopefully, a smaller one comes out soon. Thanks!

Great nailer, but yeah, it's big. Totally agree that it works well though. Have used it for baseboards/trim, but also for woodworking, setting things temporarily, or even offsetting a nail to hang something light on the wall (I adjust the offset/depth wheel to not sink the whole way). Flywheel tech is a little old, but it works. Thanks for the share!

Works for what I do with small renos. If I did big trim jobs or kitchens all the time it might not be great. I just can't deal with a compressor anymore! Thanks!

New subscriber Thanks for your helpful vids I purchased the porter cable one as my first nailer because I already had the battery from their drill. I'm still a newbie with a pancake compressor which intimidate me plus it's loud & heavy. I used mine to do a wood wall in a stair landing 12 foot wall. It was great 👍

That has a bump mode. Takes no time to charge. bump and go. I bought one, love it.
@BrentDarlington3 жыл бұрын
I never use the bump mode but nice to hear it works for you!
@wesleysandifer61573 жыл бұрын
@@BrentDarlington It will work for you too. Set the switch to 3 nails, hold the trigger, the nails will come out as fast as you can bump it. Just bump it on the target.

@@keithsilva5441 I'd probably buy an adapter for the battery but it's fine, just buy this one and keep a nail pinch handy for 2" nails

Look at all you rich guys talking about your fancy cordless guns! And I’m stuck over here with my Porter Cable freebies😂

I’ve gone through about 4 of their compressors, that’s how I’ve acquired all my trim guns over the years LOL

@@MyDIYAdventures I'm sure using them framing would burn them out pretty quick.

Surprisingly, I’ve gotten 3-4 years out of each of them!

Mine jammed and after freeing the jam I couldn't get the light to stop flashing on the right side. Right side flash indicates jam. Anyone have this happen?
@BrentDarlington2 жыл бұрын
I dont think I've ever had a jam, so no, never had that problem

I use Dewalt dcn660 and dcn692 . I have a use for the dcn680 but as a bare tool , they cost £330 in 🇬🇧. Way to pricey . With the global pandemic and supply line problem , prices are sky rocketing .
@BrentDarlington3 жыл бұрын
I agree, pretty pricey but I have used it enough to pay for it. Now that I have it, I can't go back to dragging around a compressor.
