My cutter head worked well for about 5 minutes then it kept throwing out all the line. I took it back to the shop and they replaced the cutter head with a heavier duty dewalt one. It seems to work well now but I’ll keep this video in mind if it does it again. Thank you

Mike, You are a super cool guy. Extremely informative!! I have the same model string trimmer! I went with the Dewalt auto feed. Not too bad. But the original reason I went to your channel was the outdoor Sonos install. Have had the speakers forever on a tv in my garage where the speakers blew. However I ran speaker wiring about 6 months ago to back patio where of course my pool is etc. So I just purchased the “AMP”. Arrives tomorrow. Woohoo!! Definitely subscribing and you have so many videos that are again so informative!!! Oh, I have the kit too. So originally I purchased the Dewalt string trimmer. Then I decided to get the entire kit. Its Amazing. Sold string trimmer. Kit has string trimmer, brush cutter, pole chain saw with extension, bush trimmer and blower. They all attach to battery motor body. Anyway, thanks Mike!! You are on cool cat!! I am a dog person but you get it. Lol

I did not know this, but when trimming, you can set the trimmer head on the grass and let it roll along, so you don't have to lift it. That t35 is perfect for it.
@Annon8911 ай бұрын
I just put a husky universal spool on my 20v and I’m so happy about it. Super easy takes 5min. Don’t wait just get rid of the auto spool thing if you go through a lot of line. It’s ok and works fine. But I’ve used the husky for years and am happy to say it works for the dewault is minimal time to change and they are bulletproof.

I put a stiffer spring in the head for the bump feed so it takes more force to release the line. Friggan thing is a killing machine. I'll put that trimmer against gas any day cause it shreds like you wouldn't believe

Money well spent on a roll of Gorilla tape! I used it once to tape an ekg type of monitor to my chest. The people who put it on me said the adhesive would hold it for 2 weeks. It lasted 2 days. I upgraded, per your instruction w/ the spacer and without. I’m getting a noise with the string hitting the upper part of the guard, that I didnt get before. Happens when the string slows down, and makes a loud racket against the guard. Any tips how to deal with this? I might just take the guard off. Thanks for the video!

I just used a pipe clamp with some duct tape underneath. Simple. Cheap. But yeah, the trimmer is fairly heavy so both a clip and a harness would have been nice for longer sessions. I do summer weed whacking of about an acre of thick tall grass/weeds and a harness is mandatory. I also use a velcro strap to hold down the trigger - hand gets tired otherwise.
