A lower cost version of the original Viking Arm. I have a couple of the Viking Arms and tried the Irwin badged version of this one and found it not as well built as the VA (evidently under heavy loads) and lacking the smooth movement of the original. Still a good option if your wallet can't swing the Viking Arms.

I was just going to ask how it compares to the VikingArm, been looking at the VA for a little while, then the Stanley one came out followed by Irwin and now DeWalt, a rebadge of the Stanley I presume.

*DeWalt should give the base a female cross-receptacle so it can be turned 90º for a zero offset, making it ideal for jacking things needing a 0" flush setback. Then the front of the foot would not be an impingement! DeWalt, if you make a revision, please send me a complimentary revised jack :-)*

Can you flip the jack head around on the bar so that instead of spreading, the jaws compress?

Definitely buying this instead of the overpriced $200 Vicking Jack. At least this jack comes with full assembly. With the overpriced Viking Jack, you have to assemble the foot base yourself. Paying $200 and I have to install the base. Crazy! Lucky if they remember to pack the screws with the package. I have to return the overpriced Vilking once because the screws were missing from the package.

Looks nice. Foot action is smart. Half the price versus the ridiculously priced Viking Arm ($199 last time I checked)

Please do a comparison video of the Dewalt unit versus not only the similar Stanley and Irwin Units, but also to the original Viking Arm from Norway. Would be interesting to see how these knock-offs compare. Thanks.

The DeWALT vs Irwin vs Stanley (same parent company) The grip on the Irwin and Stanley you have to pull the lever up. They flipped it on the DeWALT and the lever goes down which allows you to push it with your foot. This makes the DeWALT more versatile. DeWALT vs Viking, if you are a contractor in construction or a home owner get the DeWALT. If you work for NASA get the Viking
