Great demo! Showed us how they work comparatively on different wood sizes and textures. Miniumum talking, maximum showing, and best of all..... NO MUSIC! HALLELUJAH!!! This was really useful and you are great at demos! Many thanks!!

That chainsaw looks like it runs pretty good. Not bad at all for being 20V. I have a feeling the 6.0 battery would last a pretty good while on it. I think thats what good about getting a smaller sized tool like that, it doesnt take as much to power it and the run time is a lot better. I really dont see myself needing anything bigger than that around the house here, price is good on it too.

you should do a video on how the barn and chain swapping.. i just got this too, do i need to fuel the oil before i use it?
@Angel-xh5pq6 жыл бұрын
Louis Y To change the bar and chain its super easy. Just unscrew the bar and chain cover, lift and remove the original bar and chain, line up the new bar and chain , adjust the slack on the chain by turning the adjustment nob, put cover back on and you're good to go. Yes you need to add bar and chain oil before using

You could probably put the dewalt 16in flexvolt bar on this too and with the new 12amp battery plenty of power

I want to out 16 or 18 inch bar on. Do you think it will really work? Have you tried it?
@codybennink33396 жыл бұрын
Any chance you could post a video with cutting something like a 12 inch log? I've been thinking about changing the bar length on mine but am not sure if there would really be a benefit.

cody bennink, sorry, unfortunately I dont have 12 inch logs,

Biggest I did a 10" gum with mine and of course it isn't as fast as my bigger saws but it passed the test. There's a video of a guy slaying a 12" aspen. If you are cutting 12" logs I suggest a 14" bar or larger saw. This saw is great for fast cleanup, smaller trees and limbing. The portability and run time are outstanding.

@Angel-xh5pq6 жыл бұрын

Rcarnes911 I found in general. All tools of dewalt is cheaper from homedepot or acme tools.
@Rcarnes9116 жыл бұрын
Normally true, but on new releases acme always takes forever to fulfill, amazon had 12 baretool in stock at 150 managed to score one and it is already shipped

I just randomly came up with this idea last night. 😔I thought I would be the first. Mine works perfectly though. Does yours leak Bar and chain oil all over the place when it’s not in use?😑😠
@Angel-xh5pq5 жыл бұрын
During use some oil can drip to the bottom. I usually wipe down any oil/ wood shavings after use

I thought mine was broken but seems like they all leak a little

Can you post a link to the bar and chain that you used? I am new to chainsaws and I see a lot of product variations out there. Thanks.

Eli Pagan bar and chain came as a set at homedepot, 14inch bar with y52 chain was around $23~

Did you ruin the original chain by running it into the ground? Should be able to be resharpened if you haven't ran it dull for long.
@Angel-xh5pq6 жыл бұрын
Travis S Original chain got dull. I looked for a replacement 12in but couldn't find one the proper gauge so i just changed the whole bar and chain. I actually perfer the aftermarket bar an chain over the original.
@notabiker6 жыл бұрын
Angel Roberts Oh, in that case find it what file size the new one uses and learn to sharpen it, you should get many many uses from a chain and probably years if you keep it sharp and avoid dirt. Good luck!
@Angel-xh5pq6 жыл бұрын
Trav Scoop Thanks for the advice, I think its a 5/32. I usally do sharpen them but I accidentally didn't notice some 3 1/2 screws on some fire wood that I was. cutting and damged the original chain pretty bad, but yes you're right its better and more cost effective to resharpen and reuse chains. Unfortunately in my case some of the chisels on the original chain got bent. Unfortunately I learned to be careful on what I cut the hard way lol

Nice cloth shoes to wear while you use a chainsaw inches from your foot.
@duaneellen18896 жыл бұрын
What does a reciprocating saw have to do with anything? It isn't made for cutting logs. It's made for getting into tight spots in framing and it will cut through nails... a chainsaw won't do that. You video is informative but it's dumb.

Because a lot of people use a recip in place of a chainsaw in certain situations so it was a simple comparison. You feel better now?
