Decent drill for day to day things around the house. I have had mine for 7 years. It helped me with my home remodeling.

@@fixanythingsavemoney Because of you I was able to start using my first ever drill and put together a piece of furniture I was putting off. I watched a few other videos before I found this one, and none of them even talked about how to secure a bit or what each setting did precisely! Goes to show you just never know who will find your videos and what they go on and do with the information!

You've changed my mind.I was leaning towards the B+D LDX220,household drill.Price is about the same,but this is a DeWalt.Thanks "FASM".

Have the same drill but its stuck in the drill mode. Any thoughts would be great. Nevermind 😂. I'm old and not as strong. Put on my work gloves and torqued down (as much as an old person can) and it freed up. Thanks for your excellent video and now I know the features of my drill.

Is the torque knob frozen?

@fixanythingsavemoney put on my work gloves and twisted as hard as an old person can and it freed up. I updated my comment and maybe it will help someone else. Thanks for your excellent video, now I know the features of my drill.

I have this drill and need to assemble a steel power rack (gym equipment). Could I use this with a socket attachment or does that risk over-tightening the bolt?
@fixanythingsavemoney8 ай бұрын
If you have an adapter you definitely can. Just start on a low torque setting and increase slowly. Be careful it doesn't twist your wrists though. Using a drill as an impact runs that risk. If you have wrenches or an impact I'd recommend those over a drill but it can be used. Hopefully that helps! Thanks for watching and for the comment, have a great day!

Interesting why you would still buy this old tool. I would go with the brushless one!! I learned that with ryobi! 😆
@fixanythingsavemoney8 ай бұрын
I bought this one pretty much just to test and show that there are much cheaper options out there for your everyday homeowner who might just be using it a couple times a year. If you have the money then brushless is always the first pick but it is nice that the manufacturers make much cheaper models that reflect in the price point for people who may not have a lot of money. The tools I use everyday are brushless but they need to be because of the abuse I put them through. Thanks for the comment and for watching, have a great day!!

@@fixanythingsavemoney I suggest eBay people take the battery and sell the tool. You get a deal. Thanks!
