Great review and to the point. Thanks. It is very effective that you show how the tool works by actually using it rather than talking about how the tool works.

Thanks for the review, you did great job describing the tool. I have had my eye on it for a while now, but there is one drawback I see this jigsaw doesnt have. I like having a variable speed trigger incorporated in the handle, so you can feather a cut on particular stock. I feel like that would be annoying because I would see myself holding the tool in one hand and controller the speed on the dial with my other one. Has that ever been a problem for you.. Just setting the speed prior and hitting on? Also, during your review, did you have the plastic shoe-cover off the whole time? It seems like its missing..
@toolreviewsandrestorations5 жыл бұрын
Jay Ross there’s also a D-handle version. It’s the same saw just with a trigger. I’m not sure if it’s veritable speed although I don’t see why it wouldn’t be. I hasn’t had a problem with the speed on it I just always have it on the top speed. It came with the plastic shoe but I don’t normally use it.

@@toolreviewsandrestorations Yea I seen that one.. I was definitely interested in it but I have the older version and not a barrel grip so I ultimately bought the barrel grip.. I know the ergonomics might be a little cramped but I sort of wished they still put a trigger on it.. I was cutting steel with my old Dewalt and feathering the trigger, going light in the beginning of the cut then amping it up a bit mid cut- It definitely made the cutting smoother and more clean...

@@jayross6588 I also have the D-handle version and what I was constantly missing was being able to change speeds (for cutting metal for example). Also, I was used to barrel grips first, so it took me a while to get used to the D-grip. Today, I’d get the barrel grip one as a second saw for when I need to dial different speeds. Personally, I’d prefer a speed dial to a trigger. Also, i really like that it has lights contrary to my D-handle version.

Hi there thanks for the link the other day. Would you say its good enough for scribing detail? eg alcoves and other cupboards? any particular blade you think would be the best? many thanks. Chris
@toolreviewsandrestorations3 жыл бұрын
If it’s used properly and you have a good fine blade it is very precise although maybe not as precise as some of the other saws. I have only ever used Bosch blades and I really like them, they are well made and stay sharp for a long time.

@@toolreviewsandrestorations yes, I wish the barrel version of this dewalt was a little cheaper its around £200 now. I may do scribing work and from what i understand its best with a barrel since you can then cut upwards from the underside and the job is therefore easier , so perhaps the extra £50 or so instead of the D grip is worthwhile
@toolreviewsandrestorations3 жыл бұрын
I don’t do much scribing work but I think that is correct. I just prefer the barrel grip rather than the D handle so that’s why I have it.

Hi great demo of this jigsaw..which one of the dewalt is the best jigsaw the 334 or 335..ty
@toolreviewsandrestorations4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching! As far as I know the 334 and 335 perform the same. I’ve got the 335 because I prefer the barrel grip over the D-handle.

@@toolreviewsandrestorations ty 4 that info was going to buy the corded 331 because of the power because it cuts wood steel alum tiel. Not sure if the 335 cordless has that kinda power to cut all that.if it does I will most likely buy it...thank you so far.
@toolreviewsandrestorations4 жыл бұрын
Hippy Wild Child if it’s used with a bigger battery (3ah or higher) it’s got the power of a corded saw in wood. I’ve never cut steel with mine but I have cut vinyl flooring, brass and some really hard wood with it and it had no problem with that. For bigger tasks a corded saw is still a good choice though.

@@toolreviewsandrestorations Ty 4 all that info..I see most ppl are sold out of the 335 kit. I was looking at putting it to gether like a kit. Just wonder if that's a good way to doing that. Buy just the bare saw then the correct battery and the correct charger and the tool bag. Not sure or just wait for the kit to come around and get restocked. Ty 4 all your help Sir.

Is it worth the 100 extra dollars, and how does it compare to the regular grip jig saw?
@toolreviewsandrestorations4 жыл бұрын
It's the same price as the D handle brushless jigsaw. I don't have any other Dewalt jigsaws so I don't know how it compares but my personal opinion is that barrel grip jigsaws are nicer to use than D handle jigsaws

@@toolreviewsandrestorations Thank you so much for the reply! I had one more question, how is the cut? is it usually 90 degrees most of the time??

@@donayre21 Yes, it is very precise. Normally 90 degrees if you hold it square to the wood.
