Mate, I went with the Brushed motor also, Home Depot was priced $170 for the brushed Max 20 jigsaw(Tool Only) & included a variety of 6 blades, the brushless XR Max was $210 (Tool Only) No complimentary blades.

Thought your review was well done and I bought the same one in 20 Volt based on your review. 20v was to match my existing batteries

I’ve only got 2 x 1.5ah batteries. You reckon I could get 20 mins use or so out of this? Cheers for the no nonsense review. These are currently reduced in toolststion.

Hi the brushless model will give you a longer run time per battery but I get a good run out of my one per battery. Its down to your budget really.

That model is notorious for spitting out metal cutting blades. Metal cutting blades are thinner than wood cutting blades. It would not even hold the blade provided with the saw. Have you had that issue? I returned my DeWalt and bought a corded Bosch. It's got a way better blade clamp.

Thanks for the comment. I have to say that I have not experienced this issue at all. I've used the saw a lot to cut metal both with cheap and expensive blades and not once had one jump out. It sounds like you had a bad saw.
