If you (Wranglerstar) have been blessed with the opportunity to use and review and to plug these products, I say more power to you! I am a very young man, and I have dipped into the name brand tools a little... Don't have shame for plugging a product. Enjoy it! God bless.

The new dewalt grinders are awesome, they are pretty quiet and it has a automatic brake so you don’t have to wait for it to slow down. May not sound like a big deal but if your using a grinder a lot that brake comes in handy

The 60v table saw, is truly the biggest reason I was able to gain any momentum in my self taught journey in learning carpentry/woodworking/milling. I also have to do a lot of my work after I get off the clock at the day job, the quieter brushless motor is quiet enough to use in the attached garage that’s currently acting as my shop with no worry about disturbing anyone asleep inside, or my neighbors.

Cody, this is actually one of the best info-mercials I've seen in quite a while. I used to proudly say I was an all-Dewalt shop user. Over the past few of years I have been replacing my Dewalt with Festool and Mafell as my budget permitted. My initial reaction to the 20 volt product line was it was just a scam to get users to buy all new Dewalt stuff which was not compatible with the older tools. I see I was wrong. The new new 20 volt Flexvolt line is a real game changer -- they're putting out some really innovative and quality products once again.

I loath, despise, HATE, (too strong but close), infomercials.... but I stuck with you all the way on this one. You hit on every itch I've had regarding cordless tools and it appears DeWalt has remedied them and added some bonuses that I hadn't thought of yet. I especially like the miter saw blade guide that uses LED and a blade shadow rather than a laser that's never where it ought to be. Thanks for a great “boots on the ground” review of this line of tooling.
@wranglerstar7 жыл бұрын
Thank you Tyler, I appreciate your comment,

How is the shadow superior to the laser? In addition, I think the laser might be superior because if it's very sunny out you might not see the shadow.
@BulletproofPastor7 жыл бұрын
Good question. The laser is a projected beam that has to be aimed at where the edge of the blade is expected to meet material. Blades can have different kerf which would put that aim point in the wrong place. A shadow is always a shadow and adjusts automatically. You have a good point regarding a laser's brightness and for framing it will normally be plenty accurate enough. In an inside shop I would opt for the shadow effect but for onsite framing, the laser might be a better option.

I had a big cabinet shop for a number of years and in 2012 all of my assemblers started using the 12 V Dewalt drills and drivers. I've been using cordless 18 and 20 volt dewalt since they came out, and they're nice, but the 60's last all week in my impacts,and all day if not longer in my hammer drills for drilling holes for rebar into slabs. All this works on my 20 volt tools I already own. They can't be beat in my opinion. I can't judge the other brands, because I've been committed to Dewalt for years and I don't want multiple brands of chargers and batteries taking up space in my toolboxes on my trucks.

Night Rider: My sole Milwaukee tool is a Sawzall. When I was shopping for that sort of tool, I talked to several professionals. The universal recommendation was to get the real and genuine Milwaukee Sawzall. So I took my Craftsman variety back for a refund and got the Milwaukee tool. Been glad I did. However, if DeWalt has matched or exceeded the Milwaukee, I don't know. In this day of technology it may have happened. But I do know I want that blade case. I have done a lot of mortuary work in a building 100 years old. A lot of maintenance and changes were required through the years. That was part of my job. Unlike so many companies, mine let me use my own tools. Mostly Craftsman. Some cordless items, some older and traditional. My two complaints, at the level of work I was doing, is the battery system. But in fairness I must say most of my battery tools from Craftsman are a bit older. And they HAVE been improving things. Most of what I ask is that charging stations will fully charge a battery and shut off when the full charge is reached. I want there to be no chance of a battery being damaged. Is the answer a Dewalt type battery system? Other than that I would add that the keyless chuck needs work. My "key" is a pair of Channel locks. So I can get a better grip on drills and other accessories.
@somepunk25417 жыл бұрын
Allan Anderson : Try not to get in habit in thinking all of one company's tools are the best. Or you'll find yourself regretting a purchase. I got bunch of different tools from craftsman, rigid, milwaukee and makita. For instance when I has researching on portable borescopes I found two similar ones. Milwaukee at $129 and a rigid at $99. After some research I found that the Milwaukee is overpriced and actually under performs to the rigid one.

Work for the park service and this last season we started phasing in flexvolt tools because it let's us keep using all our 20v and I have been INSANELY impressed with the tools. The 60V circular saw blew threw a 12 foot rip cut on a rough cut 3x12 in the field with zero bogging down and for light to moderate trail clearing on potentially crowded trail the 60v chainsaw is a dream because battery life is fantastic, significantly less weight for both saw and fuel, and the best part is no hearing protection required making communication (and therefore safety) with swampers and civilians much easier

after this video came out, I stepped into the world of buying my own power tools. I immediately knew I wanted flexvolt and the first tool I bought was the angle grinder. I used that at a job when I was working for my dad where we remodeled a Marina in Lake county, IL, and I needed to cut all of the white pvc off of every pipe on every pier on the property. keep in mind every pier had 6-8 pipes with pvc on them, and there were over 150 piers, so I had well over 1000 cuts to make. we had 3 choices- use a corded angle grinder with a generator, use a partner saw, or use my flexvolt. by using the generator, corded angle grinders, partner sawa and skid steer to our pier fabrication instead of using them to cut pvc, we saved enough money to buy multiple flexvolt angle grinders. definitely a production grade line of tools that can be relied on and make you more money. thank you for the recommendation! my tools have served me very well the past few years

Electric cars and trucks are actually becoming a thing . 18650 lithium ion batteries check it out . I saws these on two job sites already this year . I bought one for myself . They charge my 20 v line of dewalt tools and also my 60 v and 120 volt table saw and mitre saws also I can use it for back up power when there’s an outage here . No noise no carbon monoxide . So I think it’s great . But I also have an open mind to many things . You shouldn’t knock something based on your biased opinion.

I have quite a few DeWalt tools. My oldest DeWalt is a 60 year old 10" radial arm saw. I actually remember my Dad buying it bran new. I've had it for 27 years and still use it regularly. I bet it weighs more than all your DeWalt tools combined. I guess it is staying right where it is.

I still have my old DeWalt 9.6v drill. It may not have the torque and run time of newer lithium 18v drills, but in the garage where I have the charger and spare battery, it does the job just fine.

So this infomercial was filmed in the old shop when these tools were brand new and unused? Lots of praise for tools that haven't been put through their paces yet. I hope you come back to this review on a year and give us a real review. I won't go out and drop $799 on a miter saw, and $599 on a table saw just because they're "new and improved."

I have a lot of the 20v tools, and now a lot of the Flexvolt tools too. The Miter Saw is a must, the table saw is pretty good, too.. the new Circular saw rivals all corded saws for sure.... Good Stuff! I'd buy the Inverter/Charger but I am already covered by a quiet generator... if the genny ever fails I will look seriously again at the Inverter/Charger. We run the FlexVolt Miter Saw EVERYDAY for 8-10 HOURS cutting shed kits, after a year we are still using the original blade. I think the Table Saw could stand a little refinement and polishing to be like it's corded cousins, but is pretty darn good as is. The table saw uses a thin kerf blade which makes resewing easy, I just wish it was a 10 inch table saw so I could get a reasonable depth, if DeWalt comes out with an upgrade I will surely consider it. The remainder of my shop is Festool... so DeWalt is working on the same level as Festool in our shop... that outta say something! #DeWalt send me a track saw and will review it on my channel for you :)

I like Dewalt tools but most of mine are Milwaukee. I think all the major tool manufacture build quality tools and if you already have a platform Milwaukee, Makita, Hatichi and so on that is what you should stick with. The reason I went with Milwaukee was the amount of different tools you have to choose from in their cordless line. Enjoy you videos and always look forward to the next one. Thanks

Cody. Were you hiding something from us with your left hand when showing us the original drill? (1:44) If so you are not giving us a fair review. If it has a cracked cord, just show us. We understand. But if you hide it, you are being deceptive. I'm disappointed.

I have no problem with paid reviews, or sponsorships if I know that they are paid/sponsored. However I do find it kind of disconcerting that you have been really pushing the dewalt name for the last month or so prior to releasing the information that you were being sponsored. You never made mention that any of these were given to you free of charge to review in any of the videos where you talked about them previously which is unfortunate. I don't know your agreement that you made with Dewalt, whether you were not allowed to share that it was sponsored prior to this video. But you had plenty of chances to at least share the fact that you were doing a review of their products before pushing their use in multiple videos prior to this one.
@turnersparadise83687 жыл бұрын
This seriously upsets you? I mean, first off what business is it of yours anyway? But if you couldn't figure out Dewalt gave him those tools then you are a fool. After all, many other channels also got new cordless Dewalt tools. I think you just need something to criticize him about. Seriously, Nathan, find something better to be upset about.
@NMarsh88997 жыл бұрын
I have never criticized him or his videos. I have always thought that his content is great. I also generally don't agree with most of the criticism he has received, as I agree that he should be allowed to make the content that he wants to make. However I think it is a bit daft of you to say that I am a fool for believing that he wasn't given these tools months ago for free. The tools weren't all introduced at once, so why should I have believed that this is what happened. I first noticed the energy bank in a video of him making a snow fort with his son. Why would this make me believe that it was a paid advertisement? Or the brief glimpses of miter saws or table saws during his latest workshop overhaul. My problem is not that he was paid to make these endorsements or that he got free tools, but she should have disclosed that months ago when they started popping up in his videos. Also "After all, many other channels also got new cordless Dewalt tools." is a very pointless statement as I likely don't subscribe to those channels. This is the only "homesteading" channel that I sub too. Take a bit of your own advice and instead of getting upset over my personal opinion, "find something better to be upset about."
@turnersparadise83687 жыл бұрын
Nathan Marshall Okay, but the bottom line still remains, why do you care? What difference does it make if he bought the tools or Dewalt gave them to him or maybe he stole them from the Home Depot. What difference does it make.
@NMarsh88997 жыл бұрын
I think you are still misunderstanding. I don't mind the paid promotion as long as it was disclosed. Honestly I look at a lot of paid promotions like this one on youtube. I actually watched this entire video today because I have been interested in the FV line from dewalt, because I have a few other dewalt tools that have really stood the test of time. What I don't agree with, is that they got a couple months of free promotion without disclosing it. Now had Cody said a month ago that he received some tools from Dewalt and would be doing a review in the future, my comment wouldn't exist. That is all I am saying, if you get free goods, tell me you got them for free when they start popping up in your videos rather than telling me 2 months down the line. And honestly, you are right, its not that big of deal, but I thought it was worth making a comment about. Even if said comment gets downvoted to oblivion.
@johnnnny7 жыл бұрын
He clearly started this review in the old shop, but it's also very likely that he was waiting for everything to be signed and completed on his deal before he released it. Cody doesn't seem like the kind of guy that would be caught with his tin pants down on a deal like that. I've seen a few videos from other KZbinrs that also got a bunch of Dewalt tools, so as soon as I saw them in Cody's shop I knew he got the same deal and it was only a matter of time before he said something about that yellow and black Elephant.
