when I changed out my Injector Pump , The first thing I did was take the little plate off , Cut a little piece of wood & put it into the slot & use the plate to hold the wood in....by doing this it jams the injector pump gear from moving and holds it "in time" .....from there you can remove the injector pump for service/replace without messing the timing up & when you install the pump it only bolts in one way . hope this tip helps somebody....motor was a 3cyl. Perkins with Simms pump

so was it running then but badly ? it looked a poor day for doing it a bit like wales here always wet and damp bit of rain soon puts me off,i must get my dexta sorted i started 5 years ago but never finished it, engine froze cos after doing it up i didn't keep turning it every now and then. my others an old thing attached to a saw bench check it out on my channel .there lovely sounding machines i like owning a bit of history ,anyway let us know in another vid how you went on .maybe pick up an old tripod and makeshift something to fasten your camera to it out of a bit of ply or something ,i assume its your hand phone ,i picked a cheap camcorder off ebay theres a review i did on it quite cheap now there's loads on market .anyway take care Ant from not so sunny Wales.

It run wall but was not a good starter. It is still about but still in bits. I now have a Sony x 5100 for doing video's.

It would help a lot if you used a tripod. Camera was shaking so much couldn't focus on anything.
