Dex, this isn’t “old Halls of Torment”. Here defense and block chance are KING, especially on high Torment, which is why the Shield Maiden is the single most busted character in the game.

Blood catcher was also super broken but they patched it, defense is a necessity if you want to do a full artifact run.

@@whatisinaname-j3v yep… I mean, from one side I can understand their point, because Blood Catcher made every other necklace pointless, but I think that they also needed to buff the others, because as things stand I’m still using blood catcher, only in combination with other items to make up for the loss in conversion… so yeah, they made it less broken but the issue remains IMO

I still have zero respect for Block Chance 99% of the time, but I am always getting all the Defense and Regen I can find on everyone. Agony IV, Agony V, and the Torment modifiers mean you WILL get hit and you need to reduce and heal that off. I'm glad there's more Neck options than Jade Amulet at least. I love Damage or Area Duelist's Spark on basically all builds, depending what abilities I'm chasing.

This is what I am talking about! I can't wait for Dex to get some of the artifacts, so he can use some actually good gear, lol I love your context, Dex! I truly am glad that you came back to this game. You've missed a lot, and you have also *been* missed a lot in the video space for this game.

@1:50 The "diminishing returns" buffs stack up quickly at first, then slower, and eventually grind to a pretty much near stop. It's so the item can be impactful quickly but NOT spiral out of control like the pre-nerf Blood Catcher neck item user to.

Dex tip, start using the duelist spark already. It needs runs to become really good, and you are going to need it later. It saves all the damage bonus and stacks all versions of them. Also happy to see you covering this game again, even if you are a bit late to the party. Also, the game added 200 achievement a new infinite map that just gets harder with an end game boss when that you can spawn at any point and a new difficulty system along with 200 achievements more. This patch alone is around as big as all previous ones together.

@26:05 Crit Chance over 100% goes toward "Double Crits" so feel free to go insanely crazy with that. :D I don't know if there's Triple Quad etc Crits, probably.

Agony doesnt work same as it was. it increase with time by itself. 1 level for 5 min if not mistaken. and u lose some of it if die and revive. Also there is something new at left-down corner of camp) I wont spoil it but u need it ASAP.

You can send items after beating the last boss of the location Also you can change which quest you are tracking there is quest button under items

@@drunknpoet that is also true i guess but i was referring to the style which resembles a mix of all three .( Terrain diablo 1 , graphics and lighting diablo 2 , weapons and effects diablo 3)

I've still not even seen tier 3 and I'm at every achievement done but like 3 No Ability runs, and everything else is tied to random Artifacts that simply haven't dropped for me. >_< Oh and surviving 60min in Vault, man that one sucks.

if you bring more artifacts with you, the chests contain more pink items. So around 12 artifacts, you will have around 3 pink items at the end of the run. If you only take one or two artifacts, you will never encounter the pink items.

@@nebelwaffel8174 Ah thanks, I barely have that many artifacts even unlocked. They really don't like dropping. Can you retrieve pink items or is pink the new green?

@@jaeusa160 pink is the new green. Also you must progress with the vault speedrun, before you can unlock more artifacts. Don't know, who thought this was good game design.

@@nebelwaffel8174 I've done all the Vault speedrun achievements though. I only lack 60min Vault survival and that one just sucks. I really need to rethink my character choices and builds for that one.

@1:10 Agony has changed from before. It pretty much only goes up as you do well, having it drop from taking damage was stupid and made it impossible to build Agony even with builds which were completely fine and easily winning but the sheer number of enemies meant you took small hits frequently. The dev for HoT has been very receptive to feedback, game is fun, lot of weird achievements to do. Only major issue remaining is that farming the Artifacts to get all the evil difficulty modifiers sucks, they drop way too rarely. Some achievements and modifiers can get really hard too, which is good, I love modular difficulty in player hands.

Felt totally lost watching this.. I'm trying to play the game but I can't work out evolving things and how you have to select between different types of gems?? I'm playing on android but the port is identical. But yeah this video i can't figure out what's going on lol

I recommend clicking on the playlist in the description, the update we played on has been out for many months as beta, so a lot of videos were made on that. And especially way older videos explore the mechanics in the game

I’m really enjoying the full release. Got 405/500 achievements so far…does anyone know how to do the Hunter’s achieve where you have to avoid critting for 15 minutes?
