This New Exploit Created The Ultimate Lightning Balls in Halls of Torment

Today we use the Kugelblitz in Halls of Torment and attempt to make it as insane as possible, which pretty much means screen go crazy. We use a suggested new exploit, which allows you to lock a weapon level up to take it later on, meaning you can have for example 2 level 5 upgrades, or 2 ultimate upgrades of characters.

@@MoistYoghurt you can't dupe potions, but you can "dupe" ability upgrades - so you can take 2 level 3, 4, 6, 10 upgrades or whichever ones you want. Brb got to farm out max potion stash real quick before having fun with diffrent weapons D:

The ring gives 40% attack speed as long as you attack, so even if you move it gives 40% and then takes away 30%. Moving no attack=40 movement speed Attack no move=40 attack speed Move and attack= 10 attack speed and movement speed.

I just had tons fun in a run using Cleric with Thunder Crown and kugelblitz doupling both of his "Wide area" traits for +200% gone width so i hit everything on the screen in the dierction he looks at and with kugelblitz electryfying tons of enemies it was just explosions everywhere from the Thunder Crown.

Potion of Memories lasts until you take the upgrade, not only until the next level up/reroll, so you could theoretically even lock 2-3 upgrades of the same level.

11:10 my guess is that it's the lightning that the balls cast that crit for high dmg, not the ball itself.

Yes it says in the upgrade it casts "Chain lightning" which is the sorceress's main attack

The extra damage is coming from the character stats. The stats you are reading on the skill are the ones that only apply to that skill and not other ones. If you add the Ch stacker stats you will see why it’s damage is so high.

They did nerf electrify/lightning hard since you have to jump through hoops to get 20+mil damage. I recall getting that number quite a number of times and think nothing of it pre-nerf. And that was pre-potion too, with maxed kugelblitz, lightning (usual lineup) and random 3rd skill/spell (usually tranfixion or needles).

i could hold it together until "Oh no, i am in danger" * blop sound * :D Just a FYI: i farmed up the potions by rerunning the first stage down to the first scroll. Takes about 3-4 mins per run with the archer provided you have the gold for buying the potions back at the camp (600-2100 depending on the potion type per run). Surely youll have to make a couple of ingridient runs prior but hey, thats the name of the game (the gather amulet gives an indicator on the left top side next to the xp bar). cheers!

You underrate the abillity for kugelblitz to seek out targets, it can be the difference between 5 mobs getting hit or 50

I usually memory potion weapon proficiency or proficient stance. Ex. Swordsman i memory lock his weapon proficiencies, so i can get both coverage (range+cone) and damage (atk spd+dmg). Especially the rank 3 or 4 ones where the unique traits do come out. Then i also use duping potions those unique traits. Like swordsman +30% Physical which affects (orbs, needles, ring blades, golem) Archer 20% projectiles (Meteor, Ring blades, transfixion, splinter, orbs ) while (needle and kugelblitz have projectile trait, i do not see them adding) Exterminator 30% fire damage and 10% Burn (breath and meteor) or his 30% Area Elemental (breath, meteor, kugelblitz) Warlock summons enhancement (golem and orbs) Cleric 0.4 Attack or 11% On hit effects Sorceress 20% Attacks Magic (Splinter and Transfixion) 20% Attacks Elemental (breath, meteor, lightning strikes) Shieldmaiden 30% Melee (golem and ring blades)

Bosses drop items. Kill bosses. You unlock more gear as you finish the quests and milestones as well. Which all have descriptions on which character / skill / map you need to use to do it.

Green ghosts that boss spawn treated as targets (in spite of their invulnerability). So ur Kugelblitz chase them and its lower ur dps;)

when i unlocked all the masteries on chain lightning first time i used a sorc, it claimed my damage was only 2 million. however its 5 million damage for mastery 3. since its chain lightning i dont believe the tracker is accounting for all of its damage

Using sorceress is a good idea and you can double the weapon proficiency on the last upgrade that gives 20% to element and projectiles to 40%. Now with the lightning ball upgrades I don't know but I rather use once on attack speed or whichever is better.

Are you sure that base damage doesnt make much difference? I mean by definiiton a 10% base damage increase also means a 10% total damage increase as well, since final damage calculations start at the base damage. If you use potion on it, the overall damage would increase by 20%.

It depends what you aim for, in this case I want as much chaos as possible but also in general I think area and amount is just better. The time you want damage is not when the number looks good, but when you dont have enough to kill the enemies in time. By "in time" I mean something like a spawn cap exists and the game cant spawn more enemies due to you being slow. And I think we havent been at such a point once, so more damage wouldnt be needed, while more area and amount means we are more likely to reach the enemies earlier or for some other cases, hit enemies that wouldnt have been hit at all

Hey Dex, I've tried maxing out this weapon as well and noticed that the crit rate seems to be capped at 90%, which is kind of confusing because the shockwaves don't seem to crit at all despite there being a crit oriented upgrade. Don't know if you've encountered that ! Love the videos :)

3rd message... base damage is huge. its what is multiplicative toward your crit. so you maxed strength 10%, strength increases base damage. then u maxed ruthlessness, which increases crit damage. the base damage is multiplied by strength, then when u maxed ruthlessness and with 25% crit from crit tree + lightning affinity 3, thats 40% crit chance not counting its base. assuming ur also wearing 10% crit ring. max crit on most abilities is easy. then forcing max multiplicative hit dmg was your goal. u avoided electrify. then added it at the end. it made so sense if maximizing kugelblitz raw dmg. electrify dmg is in a different category, you said if its only 10% more to its base you dont care. did you not see the ACTUAL on the right? so if u increase your base dmg by 10%, the actual dmg was nearly 4x the base dmg. so you would have increased your base dmg by roughly 11 in the end.

I did see the actual damage, that's why I said 10%. I see no point in increasing damage if we already kill everything, would just make the weapon smaller and less exciting for a video while having no impact. If we would struggle with kills I would've viewed it differently. For the other abilities for other bonuses, which ones are you refering to? Because I cant figure one out that would've been helpful And mastery 3 is 3 million damage, so far it accounted for all damage I tested but that's of course just for early stages, meaning I cant say how well it tracks later on

@@DexTag heh Dex, I tried similar thing before now I am nearly all 200 achievements! The upgrade for electrify for the ball is really strong. That where I normally spend the double on. Rest of memorizing bottle is on picking firing frequency and size like you did. Fire DoT capped out low but never fade, while electric DOT lost one stack (100dmg) for each DOT happens, so with higher electrify chance, you can get your balls stack an insane amount of DOT every second, much higher than 2.4k!

i also want to mention, u should take other abilities and just not level them up. simply for the additional bonuses they can add to your primary ability. but i kinda understand only using 1 just to see how only 1 works by itself with its abilities alone. just other abilities unlock certain affix trees that arent ONLY for that specific ability
