Mike Capone, CEO of Qlik - the Impact of generative AI

I had the pleasure of catching up with Mike Capone, the Chief Executive Officer of Qlik to discuss the Impact of generative AI on the market currently.
We kicked off with Mike sharing a summary of his views on the impact of AI, and particularly, generative AI, on the market and what it means for the competitive landscape.
With the ever present need for organisations to have trust in their data, I ask Mike about the importance of data governance, in the context of data being created by generative AI platforms, systems or tools & alls, and how asked if he could share his thoughts around the key issues regarding how data must be organised and trusted to be able to be used as a source for AI.
I then asked Mike to touch on how the of their recently announced Talend acquisition now plays into this critical space, and in particular how the combining of the two companies strengthens Qlik’s world leading offerings.
Mike then shared some highlights of what the Qlik product roadmap includes, a few insights into ways in which Qlik has successfully leveraged AI to date, and how it’s incorporating AI and in particular generative AI in its product roadmap.
