DF64V DLC Burr Stock Alignment

Before I swap burrs, I wanted to video the stock alignment of these burrs. Sorry about the auto focus, these burrs for whatever reason don't video/photograph very well.

Does Dlc burrs grind for espresso?

Both dlc and stock espresso burrs technically the same but the dlc has a coating on them to reduce friction

Hi, I'm experiencing some issue with zeroing/alignement with my dlc burr. Once i zero it and grind something coarser around 60-70, then I can't get it back to finer. After that grind, new zero is becoming around 50 and hearing noises. Have you experienced something like that?

My DF64V is inconsistent. Eg. with everything equal, one shot can take 35 secs, and another 25 secs. Could it be my burrs are not aligned?

not sure, I doubt its the grinder or alignment. 99% of the time when I hear this its puck prep. Have received returned grinders that were "inconsistent" and I can pull 10 shots back to back and all the same. Might do WDT. if you are using something like a lever machine, that adds even more complexities.

Just curious, how you clean the grinder after completing the alignment? Won’t the marker be poisonous?

Marker is not poisonous. Quick cleaning brush and run a few beans through. Good to go
