Raglan Road, Jock Lindseys and Earl of Sandwich have all treated me right when I've gone! Excited to try Homecomin' and The Polite Pig next time I go.
@sha25969 ай бұрын
Homecomin is not worth all the hype. The food is good, but it’s all SO FATTY and so many carbs! 😩 it’s hard to enjoy because everything is drowning in oil or fat of some sort. If that’s your jam, have at it. But if you don’t have a stomach of steel to deal with the aftermath, I’d tread lightly.

This was super helpful, even as an annual passholder I learned some things I didn’t know! I’ll give my two cents of some places if anyone’s interested. For reference I’m a bit more picky than your average person, I’ve been to a bunch of these places but not all and I am not rich lol so I appreciate a budget Disney meal. Table service: -Rainforest Cafe! The Disney Springs Rainforest Cafe is better than other locations I’ve been to and they have some exclusive items. I really enjoyed my whole meal there last time, surprising I know. -Splitsville! Super underrated I love their sushi and their appetizers, plus inside seating and it’s never been too crowded. -STK! Now I haven’t actually been to STK but I won’t be going because I’ve heard nothing but bad things. Wildly overpriced, very subpar food and a very loud atmosphere even outside. -Jock Lindsey’s Hanger Bar! Went here for the holiday overlay and absolutely loved it! The food was phenomenal and the Xmas decor was adorable. -Boathouse! Always great food, but always crowded and pricey. They had dueling pianos last time I went which was fun. -Wine Bar George! It’s been a while since I went here but I really liked it and the staff is very kind and helpful. George himself is almost always there too. -Raglan Road! It is truly phenomenal! Loveeee the chicken lollipops. The dancers and music is really cool but very loud and this place is always packed. -Homecomin’! I think it’s way overhyped. Maybe I need to give it another try. It was good but definitely not mind blowing and was pricey for what you get. (see my comment on Everglazed) Quick service: -Amorette’s! It was a pre-made sandwich, a little too cold (from being in a fridge) BUT I loved the sandwich I got. It was a caprese sandwich but sadly I don’t think they have it anymore. The bread was fancy and delicious! -YeSake! I really liked the bao buns, wish there was more seating nearby. -Everglazed! Super underrated savory food here! They’re owned by the Homecomin’ people so their chicken sandwich is the same chicken you get from Homecomin’ but honestly I think Everglazed chicken sandwich is way better and much cheaper. It’s a staple Disney Springs eat for me. Also try the grilled cheese on a donut, I know it sounds weird but it’s delicious. The donuts are very good but don’t get one with cereal on it unless you go first thing in the morning because the cereal gets really stale and gross throughout the day. -Blaze! The Disney Springs location is far better than the other Blaze locations I’ve been to. Very good but always crowded with a long line. -Pizza Ponte! A basic but good large slice of a pizza. Hits the spot. -The Daily Poutine! Their Korean barbecue poutine was a 10/10 highly recommend. -4 Rivers food truck! Fantastic flavorful food for a good price and quick. No place to eat inside but it’s always good. -Mac & Cheese food truck! I haven’t seen it in a while but if you do see it, it’s amazing and one portion is enough for two people. Some of a my favorite mac and cheese, love the bbq brisket one. -D Luxe Burger! A great burger, good sauces, not too pricey, would recommend. -Chicken Guy! Love their food, disappointed that they got rid of more than half of their sauces, all the best ones are gone. The chicken and fries have sugar on them so they are extra good. Again, this location is superior to their other location that I’ve been to. -Earl Of Sandwich! Love this place! Always good and I think it’s the cheapest meal I can get at Disney Springs. I love the Thanksgiving dinner sandwich. Always crowded here though. +Remember to always ask if they do annual passholder or DVC discounts because some places do and some don’t. I’m looking forward to trying The Polite Pig (I thought it was a sit down place), Morimoto Asia, Summer House and Eet. Hope this helped someone. :)

Splitsville I think is very underrated. Me and my wife went last year and got one of their sushi platters as we are very big on sushi and it was probably some of the best sushi we’ve ever had and when we tell people that our favorite sushi is from a bowling alley. They look at us like we are crazy on top of that the server we had that night was phenomenal and very upbeat and seemed to love what he did and got a very generous tip from us

While ranking videos are always subjective, this video warms my heart....by far, our 2 fav sit-down restaurants at Disney Springs are Raglan Road, and Chef Art Smith's!!!! This video just reinforces my opinion!!!
@sha25969 ай бұрын
I ate there based on these reviews. Those are both always at the top. We no longer eat at either because for how hard it is to get a res there, the food just isn’t that stellar. To me, oil and butter do not equal flavor. Homecomin screams I cover everything in fat, and Raglan Road is just as loud as any rainforest cafe, and the food variety is very limited. Nothing special to us. I just stop by the Homcomin bar for the shine now. 🤷🏾♀️

Disney Springs is very close to being Disney's fifth gate. Good food, interactive elements, attractions, shopping, photo options, and holiday scavenger hunts, the only thing missing is some characters (which DS does sometimes).

@@scottferris6309yes because you will definitely get ripped off paying for a miniature $18 cheeseburger (no fries or drink included!), expensive stale Asian noodles, expensive ‘leftover’ donuts in limited flavors not as advertised, etc. etc. impossible to feed a family of seven here, if you can get past the 50-minute-long lines for some of these restaurants.

We had a prix fixe meal at a Jose Andres restaurant in Vegas a couple of years ago. OMG, we still talk about that food. It was uber-expensive, and I would do it again in a heartbeat.
@jdrock96239 ай бұрын
Ok, so I wrestled with the thought of commenting on this one, but decided to share my experience in the end. Jaleo by Jose Andres was not just a disappointment but the absolute worst experience I have had since my sister-in-law ate at Rainforest in Springs and quickly ran to the bathroom as she got sick from the food. My wife and I decided to eat at Jaleo as we heard so many people raving about it. However, food was slow coming out (especially considering there wasn't hardly anyone in there), then the food was lukewarm to cold, silverware was dirty, and I had two long curly hairs in my meal. I refused to eat anything else and my wife was pretty much done as well. When the waitress came back to the table and noticed we weren't eating, I explained what the problem was and they asked if I would like a new plate. I politely refused and was prepared to pay for the drinks since we did actually drink while sitting there. A manager came over and asked if there was something wrong. I explained and was met with a barrage of questions about my service, the food, if I wanted a free dessert, or a free coffee, etc. I continuously stated that I was good and just wanted the check. Again, the manager practically begged me to take a free dessert and I repeatedly declined. The kicker was the bill came and every item we ordered was still on the check. Yeah, shocker. The customer service was not there and since it was obvious we didn't eat, and the hairs were in plain sight on the plate, neither of which matched my hair or my wife's, I would think the least the manager would do is deduct all food from the bill, and either allow me to pay for the drinks or even comp the drinks and apologize for the issu. Nope, paid for the whole bill and was desperate to leave. I will never again set foot back in Jaleo. Just my 2 cents.

In beginning to believe that in order to have a fabulous meal, just go somewhere these guys rate a 6 or 7. The crowds won’t be there, so you’ll always get a reservation, and the food is better IMO than the top picks here. But maybe this is because we have a non red meat eating family. We do seafood, chicken, and veg in our family and tend to stay away from meals swimming in fats. So the top pick restaurants here don’t tend to fit our tastes. But I can say with assurance that there is a meal for any eater at DS! I think they should do a different best of ranking for folks with different dining priorities. So many people are looking for beef and pork. My family wants vegetarian pescatarian and poultry top rating options!

Terralina Italian restaurant was a HUGE disappointment. High-end prices, extremely LOW-END food quality. I was there with 2 adult sons. We each tried a different entree. They didn’t care much for theirs, and mine was basically not edible! I thought I couldn’t go wrong ordering spaghetti and meatballs. The spaghetti itself was perfectly cooked, al dente. BUT the sauce was flavorless unless you count the off-taste that made me suspect I was being poisoned. At first I couldn’t wait to dig into the giant meatballs …. But alas, they too were flavorless! They had a weird heavy and dry texture and no taste whatsoever! My sons tried them and agreed with my assessment. How AJ or anyone could say this is a better Italian restaurant in Disney Springs is unfathomable. One of the worst restaurants of ANY style, anywhere!

Do we tip for food from quick counter service attached to these restaurants as well? If yes, how much? At a restaurant, our server spends over an hour with us and we give 20% +/-. At counter service we spend 45 seconds with the cashier, so I wasn't sure how much to tip, if any?

I also love seafood (and meat and everything, I'm a major foodie), so I get where AJ says to not hit The Boathouse if you don't like fish. Their fish (including the raw bar) is outstanding, but why go there for a piece of meat when you're getting quality seafood, you could get meat anywhere else. I often joke that I will order a seafood dish at a steakhouse way before I'd ever order a meat dish at a seafood restaurant.

I ate at AMC in December, and it was really good!! Expensive yes, but the food was good... no, its not gourmet or anything like that, that's for sure, but my burger and FF were good and enjoyed it with the movie! Great concept also! Wish there was something like this where I live! Now as far as Rainforest Cafe, eating there in June, that food was really bad!!! The only pro in my opinion is if you have kids that like that... food is really bad! I was at the Edison in Sept of 2023, and it took them 4 times to get a medium burger cooked to medium, and that was for me and my party (5 people).. by the 4th time, we were so hungry, we just ate what they gave us, and the food wasn't seasoned at all, and all the tables around us seemed to have problems with their food also... servers were taking plates back the whole time we were there.. probably won't be back anytime soon!

I don't really understand the comment about Paddlefish if you don't like seafood...they have several "land" options.

I never really know the place you are talking about. Maybe the name of the place your talking about in the top left hand corner? I've never been to some of these places so remembering all the names are difficult.
