For parents - and I’ll admit my kids were little about 15 years ago - another trick is to order those silicon wrist bands (“Livestrong” style) with cell phone numbers on them. My kids wore ones with my cell phone even after we got home from Disney in case they walked away at a park or a grocery store or wherever. At least until they were old enough to memorize it…

I had something similar happen when my father died. When I came back to finish the unused days, it just happened to be the opening weekend of Pandora, and a very nice AP family just ahead of me in line got me the exclusive AP Opening Weekend T-shirt, which was awesome! @dmrich920 Same with my dad - I got the call from my mom as I was getting off the ferry to Magic Kingdom. Our last trip together as a family was to Disney World, so I promised I would *not* let the experience ruin the Parks for me. And if you're going to get news like that and break down sobbing, Disney is the place to do it, they took such good care of me, were very kind and comforting, gave me privacy and then helped me reschedule my flight and get back to my hotel and to the airport. I just wish I'd thought to get the name of the cast member who helped me at Magic Kingdom so I could thank her officially!

WDW is amazing but day after day in the parks can be stressful. If you fancy a little time to unwind and not worry about lightning lanes try a half day visit to Celebration. It's a small town just south of the resort with great cafes, an old school cinema, farmers markets and some beautiful walking/cycling trails.

The #1 hack is renting DVC points for sure. We got a 2 bedroom at AKL for $600/night this last May, and now have a trip booked for a boardwalk studio for less than $300/night. Literal thousands of $ saved from this tip!

That is normally the case, but it depends on deals offered at the time. It was cheaper to get our room direct from Disney this upcoming holiday season because of the deals available.

Everyone knows calories don't count at Disney, but if your brain gets annoying and reminds you they do, the little waffles are the way to go! Just tell yourself they're small so it doesn't matter if you eat 10 lol. Plus the kids can carry them easier lol

I am a DVC Member since 2003. I have never once had left over points. You arent just limited to the Disney Resorts. There is the Cruise Line, Adventures by Disney and 400+ properties all over the world. Next year we are doing the Adventures by Disney tour of China next year. My DVC points paid for one person’s tour.
