How to change the rear bulb on a Audi A1

This video saved me from am overpriced trip to the dealer. 5 Minute video and it's removed already. I will assume it's 5 minutes to put back on. Went to the audi dealer and they wanted more than 100 euro to replace a single bulb, bulb cost 4 Euro.

Changing a bulb is easy, you just have to remove the light fitting. This is why men like cars, because they are practical people. That said many men are now just little girls.

Time and knowledge is money, the more you know and can do it yourself the more time/money you save, I have the same model and I'm switching all to LED bulbs, cheers !

Is this massively over-engineered for quality or over complicated to force a consumer to pay a dealer for the replacement.. Hmm

WHAT was Audi thinking?? This certainly isn’t a quick ‘roadside replacement’ if you have a blown bulb!

For example if you want to change a bulb on some cars on the front light you need to take the bumper down .

Take out your fittings. Fit a full replacement kit of LEDs. No more replacement needed.

@@EnglishLaw except they suffer from condensation, even more so with no heat being generated by the old inefficient bulbs, so at the minimum splodge some vaseline over every electrical contact including the LED bulbs circuit boards. There's probably a better solution if one can let me know I would appreciate. Would Silica Gel sachets help too?
