Doug, Once again we need to thank you for your thorough and understandable instructions for setting up the Q'nique 21X. Knowing that you were our there supporting Janet and all the Grace quilters in the world gave me (and my husband) the courage for taking on an upgrade from a 15R. Thank you I much for such a detailed video. My 21x Elite was delivered yesterday and I tried following the manual it bing a visual person, it was not easy all. But your video saved the day. I did it on my own, it took me 12 hours but it’s done and she’s gorgeous. Can’t wait to test her out.

Excellent video - as always, very clear information. Question - how do the ratchets differ from the Continuum II frame? I’ve had trouble with those stripping.

I've never worked with a Continuum II, so I don't have specifics. My understanding is that the Evolution rachet mechanisms are closer to the original Continuum (gear and pawl) than the Continuum II (a tension mechanism that is prone to slippage).

The Cutie is in the back corner with the first Q'nique we got - the 14+. It still sews great and works PERFECT on the Cutie!!! I'll use it for small free motion quilting .... or maybe fixing an oops on a bigger quilt! Since we moved this past Thanksgiving, I've not had much time for quilting. We've traveled every month this year until now and I also recently resigned from proofing Fabric Cafe's 3-yd quilt patterns. I still have more things on my "getting all moved in" list to do but they are getting done much quicker than they were!

I have the hoop frame and just ordered the upgrade extension kit to make it 8 foot. Would it be better to dismantle my frame and start from scratch with the assembly .

Since Janet & I have zero experience with hoop frames, I would recommend reaching out to The Grace Company for their guidance. A complete disassembly at the outset seems overkill to me, but then since I do not know hoop frames, I think that contacting Grace for advise would be prudent.

The frame is 12 feet long. +2 feet for each end to get around to the back. So 18 feet?

So I just got my Evolution Elite in the mail last week, waiting on the teenage grandkids to have time for me to help assemble. I am having lots of trouble trying to figure our exactly where I want to put it. I am doing as much prep as I can and still have room to move about the house for an undetermined amount of time. So something I have not been able to decipher from either the documentation or your video is dimensions, assembled length and width. If you could tell me what the finished dimensions are I would greatly appreciate it.

We are having work done in basement and frame & machine are covered in plastic and surrounded by boxes of stuff and furniture!
