The placements are the same as "channels" or that is an additional confusing thing ?

I just dont understand the concept of creatives and I just want to know that if we need to make it for them or they will provide it to us and if they will provide it then where do we will get those creatives? I am just stucked at that point only. And also I don't understand what company should we use to serve ads. I have a lot of confusion related to these topics. if you can help then I will be grateful to you. Love from India.
