I remember the most fun as a teen sledding, and skiing on a hill of a golf course in Richardson north of Dallas after a big snow storm at night left us with tons of snow to play in and NO school! Most fun memory of my youth days!

I definitely remember looking out the window first thing in the morning to see if I had a chance of school being called off. Or even a 2 hour delay for the school busses. I would shovel driveways for extra money. Yes, those are great memories 😁

MORE COLD WINDS, ICE, SNOW 2025 *** The cold winds of winter play tunes with the trees Though now they sound different when stripped of their leaves. Our warm days have gone and for spring we must wait And all who are in love pray it won't be too late. The snow has piled high on the rooftops of town As small birds huddle in the bushes they’ve found. Everywhere are snowmen standing as guards While children throw snowballs from forts in their yards. Winter’s cold days are dreary and often cruel But their hardships are used by God as a tool. His reasons for seasons fit His grand plan To strengthen the souls of both woman and man. By Tom Zart

GRAUPELPOCALYPSE 2025 * Roses are red, Violets are blue; Chatbots write weird, vaguely ominous poems, and maybe, Tom Zart does, too? 'Twas two weeks after Christmas, And all through the 'plex, Not a cretin was stirring, Not even Skynet. ERCOT were hiding, Near the state capitol, While Greg Abbot prepared To blame renewables. Trash fires crackled softly, Cast a pale, toxic glow On the homeless encampments All covered in snow. When the rain had subsided And chilled into ice, I punched my time clock, Then set off for the night. Two roads diverged at a traffic light, And I, I turned right. The guy in the left lane cut me off. As I eased off the throttle, he began to scoff: "Do not go gentle into that guard rail, Rage, rage at the micron-sized hail!" But I had traction control, So things turned out fine. I went home and wrote poems, that I posted online.
