Great job Raphael...and thank you for using my victory in the discovered/double check example of the "set up:" function (3min 50 sec,). I love this machine and cherish that victory at 600 sec./move). Thanks again for this excellent tutorial ,,Dr, Dennis

Sweet sounds, beautiful pieces, good sensors. Want one too! unfortunately it costs a fortune.

Sticker shock. I thought it would around $400 or $500, not $3500! Now I have to decide between getting this or a used Chevy pickup truck. Tough decision.

I could actually open a chess club here in India for 3500 dollars and play a lot of players. Did I mention that I can buy 400 premium quality FIDE standard chess sets and almost make 1500 dollars profit from it?
@followyourpassion83784 жыл бұрын
You explained it well, but the menu system seems a little awkward. That is an awful lot of button-pushing just to save a game. I am still deciding whether to get one. Is the UI improved with the Anniversary Edition?

Interesting, but it's almost 3000 € (!), and you still have to move the pieces! For that price, I'd have expected a fully automated board!

Can you use any chess pieces in your collection, or does it have to be special kinds?
@ChessHouse8 жыл бұрын
+Leilee DGT pieces use special embedded electronic chips to achieve this functionality, so the variety of pieces is limited to the five or so chess piece styles they offer.
@leilee2038 жыл бұрын
+Chess House Makes it just slightly less attractive though But it's a wonderful board... wouldn't mind me one of those. But looking at the few sets of pices available from DGT... Strange they don't offer at least the official FIDE set as one of them...

@EngineVSEngine4 жыл бұрын
I don't see anything about the system to justify the different in price compared to a regular DGT chess board. I mean the display is nice I guess, but if I am playing against an engine on my PC I can see all that analyst stuff anyway. Seems like $1,500 would be a more realistic price.
@ChessHouse4 жыл бұрын
It's capable of more than any computer on the market. It's rather robust in features and then some.

@@ChessHouse Ok, can you give an example of what it can do that you can't via a normal dgt board and pc? The pieces look like the identical thing I bought with my dgt bluetooth board.

A terrible machine that is way overpriced. You can play chess on your pc and move the pieces on the board.
@michaelbauers88002 жыл бұрын
Your post was so important, I see you made it twice :) Clearly, you are not the market for this board. But to point out one advantage to a dedicated board, you don't have to look at your PC or phone. And in your other comment you said something kinda weird. It's not normally relevant that the PC plays better chess. It simply needs to be as good or a bit better than the person playing it. There's also the concept of aesthetics, but apparently you disavow any knowledge of that being a factor.
@JohnDoe-cb1hj8 жыл бұрын
$3,500 for something you can do with a normal chess board and a cell phone. This is for people with a lot of money and very little sense.

@StopFear5 жыл бұрын
I totally agree. It is kind of morally irresponsible to spend that much money for something you literally have in your pocket. This is not equivalent to bicycle vs tesla. For one those would me a mode of transportation and you'd be comparing a cheaper car to testla, not bicycle to tesla. You'd also think for that price the screen would not be monochromatic.

3000€ to get a screen and interface settings that reminds 1995 best inventions! I mean what ths shitty green screen??? It's impossible to read, so many clicks to get different options, no evolution from the chess engine so I'm guessing it's a lazy stockfish when alphazero is revolutionizing chess analysis.... And also why it's SO FAT? honestly... 3000€ It's a joke!
