Tonakshi beta,u are not the only punjabi kid,outside Punjab suffering from this syndrom of not knowing punjabi.It's a problem of majority of our younger generation especially arora and khatri punjabis,and the fault lies basically in our generation as we were so busy conversing with our kids in english and hindi,that we forgot to teach punjabi to them.Please,do brushup ur punjabi,if u can,so that,next time u don't hv to feel embarassed for not being able to speak in punjabi,well enough.God bless u,beta.

Sir but mostly Arora & Khatris are come from saraikis & jatki speaking areas, for them this punjabi is quite different. If they their know and speak their native dialects of punjabi like saraiki, jatki it good for United punjab culture 😊

@@avikumar89oh stop it ! I know most of khatri punjabi hindus have abandoned Punjabi for Hindi. This is prevalent in Chandigarh city also. This movement goes back to Punjabi Suba movement in 1950s when Jan Sangh (which transformed into BJP later) asked Punjabi Hindus to consider Hindi as other mother tongue and not punjabi.
