Dhangethi Island is a perfect choice for a budget-friendly vacation in the Maldives. The island is quiet, and authentic, with beautiful tropical nature and very friendly inhabitants. Dhangethi is situated on 1 hour and 45 minutes speed boat ride from the capital Male and the international airport and the schedule as of April 2022 is:
Every day except Friday
Male - Dhangeti 11:00 am and 04:00 pm (16:00h)
Dhangeti - Male 7:00 am and 2:45
Friday
Male - Dhangeti 10:00 am and 03:00 pm
Dhangeti - Male Male 7:00 am
Dhangethi has beautiful tourists beach is with crystal white sand and turquoise lagoon. House reef is easily accessible especially in the morning time and is abundant of colorful marine inhabitants. You can enjoy also many different water sports activities as jet ski, banana ride, water ski, wakeboarding, windsurfing, kayaking, catamaran, and much more. Dhangeti Island is located in the picturesque South Ari atoll and you can experience daily trips to fascinating sandbanks, many famous diving points and unique snorkeling as this area is next to the main whale sharks spot in Maldives. You can visit a luxury resort for a day too. The accommodation in Dhangeti are mostly brand new guest houses which are equipped with all the amenities for convenient stay and the same time are in a very reasonable rates - times cheaper than the luxury resorts. Food is mostly South East Asian, flavorful, a bit spicy and not pricy. There are bunch of very cozy coffee shops and restaurants situated next to the ocean.

What a beautiful video.. and nice music to match it ☺️ I am considering going to the Maldives and found a great hotel on this island. My only issue is no grocery stores. I rely on a lot on grocery stores but this island doesn’t seem to have any. Still an excellent video. Thank you for sharing.😊😊

Thank you so much for watching! There are many small grocery stores in every local island including Dhangethi. You can find main food products there. If you need some special foods you can buy from Male/Hulhumale where you can find anything you want.
