Flying from my home country of Canada for a total of six months in south east Asia, I had the privilege of visiting both the Temple of the Emerald Buddha Wat Phra Kaew, , and also the great reclining Buddha at Wat Pho. Simply amazing. So many fantastic temples in Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos and other places. In my 60’s I went for Refuge in the Triple Gem and took the Five Precepts at a Theravada Buddhist temple. I’m 70 now, and have to return to Cambodia and Thailand soon….and spend the rest of my life there, die and have a Buddhist funeral and cremation. I’m home in Buddhism. Namo Buddhaya. 🙏🏼 ☸️ 🌴

That is Time crossing.. Fortunately here in sri lanka now future lord buddha is living (as Bodhisathwa, Awalokitheswara/ Amithabha/ Mathriya) and has explained even dark energy to modern society still even scientists can not be found. Lord buddha is the greatest philosopher in the world and now we have our future lord buddha has come here for world changing.. As a one who i follow this path i can purely explained this buddha's path is fully correct with no doubt. Bcos when we after having this Buddha' s blessing we find the truth and his blessing changed our whole life and started to talk the nature with us. That is amazing experience that i have obtained. A nice journey. The ultimate realities mentioned in Buddhism: 1.) Matter/Rupa (4 great fundamental forms + 24 derived material forms) ii.) Cetasika/Chaitasika (52 Mental Factors/fields of emotions) iii.) Citta (mind moment) iv.) Nibbana (timeless/unconditioned state or moment) Those teachings are much deeper/fundamental than modern science. I could discover those fundamental realities theoretically using a new type of mathematics. But the Buddha could discover those fundamental elements and processes with the power of his mind.

Modern research on Near Death Experience by Raymond moody, reincarnation memories by Ian Stevenson/Jim trucker and past lives regression by Brian Weiss all independently but coincidentally show that our consciousness survive death, we live many lives and our thoughts and actions matter in the hereafter. @@galaxymetta5974 so the person who kills for your pleasure is bound by karma and you who is killing another sentient being by proxy is somehow not bound by the karma ? What a delusional thinking?
@galaxymetta5974 Жыл бұрын
@@spirittwo7381 You have limited intellect because 1). The butchers are not so stupid to kill for your pleasure. They kill for their greed of money and love for their job. 2). Sentient beings don't get reborn as animals and lower realms if they didn't create the relevant causes. So they are not here to enjoy a well deserved holiday. 3). Even mundane worldly laws also recognise that offenders cannot be made to pay for damages that are too remote from their offense. So don't be delusional to think you know spiritual laws better than the awakened ones.
@michellepinaud9374 Жыл бұрын
@@spirittwo7381 Think about it this way, how many things are you maybe killing or causing suffering to everyday? You don't really know do you? But it's happening. It happens all the time. Try to apply that same logic that you do with the Buddhist who eats meat towards your own actions and behavior. Start to trace everything you consume everyday and you may find that the conditions for how those things came to be caused some sort suffering or death for someone or something. The difference: a Buddhist is mindful, we understand that we can't live in this body and not have some sort of unfavorable impact on our environment. You say we are delusional, but I would say that delusional would be in the thinking that we don't have that impact and that all our actions are a benefit to all. No one is doing what they do with bad intentions in mind and that is the point. You also have to realize that a monastic especially can't be picky about the food they eat. Monks have a symbiotic relationship with the community. The are not allowed to grow, keep, or cook food. Everyday they collect alms and they are not allowed to cause a burden by requesting food that they like. Since most people consume meat then so do the monks. I believe that if lay people gave monks strictly vegetarian food it would be easier for them to not eat meat. As for the Lay-Buddhists who eat meat, well we try to follow the precepts the best we can but who really follows all of them perfectly? Not many, not as easy for us worldlings. But just because we don't do one thing very well doesn't mean we don't contribute good at other times.

I am from the west. I was born and raised in the rural American south. Buddhism lives here, not in yoga centers or self taught gurus, but in the sangha and the monks who dedicate their lives to spreading compassion where it is scarce. Buddhas teaching gives me hope, he is a magnet that keeps me secure to the earth even when I feel there is no gravity. I do not know why as a westerner, a single person, I must feel shame for embracing buddhas true teaching. There are Americans smart enough to see past deceit, you know….

They took me to a Federal prison so that I could await arraignment, pre-trial, public hearing, and trial. In this facility there was a publication that referenced 'Sound of dharma'. Scramble those letters and there is 'hard Ma'. They had a person who had the same name as my mother AND her husband was in the police station on the military installation. In the 'facility' they put some ribs out of place and an additional scar to my face. Used scotch tape to cover the opening. The guard in the dispensary looked like a City Councilman . . .
