Okay. My best friend does ballet. She has nothing against fat people, but she told me that with the intensity of ballet, being plus size is literally a safety hazard for yourself. On pointe, with the amount of extra weight, you can do serious damage to your ankles. People say that fat people don't belong in ballet, and I'm sorry, but that may be a little poorly phrased, but it's true, not because they want to put you down, but because it's genuinely dangerous. I say this with utmost love and respect and no intent for hatred or malice. Please read this and try to understand this POV. Were the other girls right? NO, ABSOLUTELY NOT. People should not be so cruel to someone who is just minding their own business and are doing what makes them happy. Honestly, she genuinely is a good dancer, it's just that many people do it unsafely. I'm a competitive all-star cheerleader by the way, so if you have a counter-argument and you're a dancer, feel free.
@perlarubiopena26 күн бұрын
This comment seems a little rud ngl
@Afruityassbisexual25 күн бұрын
Dude, they're just trying to share that it can be a safety-hazard. The ones who say something is rude, are the rude ones. They even said that they weren't trying to be offensive. Cut them some slack.
@DuckyxLifeXD23 күн бұрын
As a dancer, this actor is trained in ballet and is viral on instagram! I am on pointe, so I do kinda agree with you, but only if they have bad form. There are AMAZING plus size dancers at my studio who have crushed it at comps!! I would assume your friend may actually have so,etching against plus size people.
@VeronicaSaw_yerVideo19 күн бұрын
So then if you’re plus size… don’t go en pointe! Everyone’s happy! I think exceptions should be made so that every hard worker can do what they love safely, because people like Lizzy have too much to offer to let pointe get in the way.
@mrsrimskie549315 күн бұрын
Your friend may not have anything against 'fat' people as you put it, but it sure looks like you do, just the fact you used those words says you have no decorum, skinny ballet dancers, skinny cheerleaders are all at risk of injury, if lizzy wants to take that chance because it makes her happy then you should encourage her and support her, not throw your 2c in and beg people to see your POV !!!

She is an amazing girl. I get comments about myself for being to skinny instead. People ask me if I even eat but I do. They say I look like a skeleton and it hurts. My doctor told me that it's harder for me to gain weight, I can eat anything I want and I won't gain weight. Protein drinks won't help, they don't show any changes on me. I forced myself to eat more than I do and I already eat a lot of food. I forced myself to drink these protein drinks and everytime I just got sick from it. Hearing thoes news hurts me a lot. Because that's all I want at the moment, to gain some weight. So for anyone out there, it hurts as much as someone calling you fat as it is calling someone skinny/skeleton. Keep that in mind

I'm pretty skinny myself and thought that for a while that I couldn't gain weight even if I ate a lot, which I thought I did eat a lot until I started counting calories and realized I didn't actually eat enough. If you haven't already, try figuring out how many calories are in the foods you eat and don't try to eat the food all at once or protein drinks but instead try eating a lot of whole foods that add up to 2000 calories throughout the entire day and its been working for me and you have to make sure you eat like that everyday. I already mentioned this but try to spread out the meals as much as possible to avoid feeling sick, like having smaller portions but more regularly. Hope that helps.

Many years ago when I was a young nurse, I cared for a patient who was diagnosed with a life threatening illness. She was beautiful, petite -a young lady with a lovely personality .I admired her as she struggled through her illness to live while she remained a sweet kind positive person . All the staff worked hard to help this beautiful person survive an acute critical illness. She made it through and was placed on high doses of prednisone. ( which can cause havoc to your body) A few years later she returned very sick and was dying. I remember the disparaging remarks ,by some staff who did not know her history , concerning her physical appearance insinuating she brought her illness on . She was obese and did not look like the same person until she smiled - she was the same beautiful person . She had no control over the ravages of her disease and the effects of meds on her body. She had to live with a terminal illness , deal with the changes in her body and the ignorant perceptions of others concerning her appearance even when she was dying. No one should have to explain themselves to others. I believe most ppl are caring , as shown in this video and by those touched by this video. Sad that those lacking empathy cause so much pain for others.
