"i dunno...Maybe he can cook for himself or cook for his wife" best line i have heard! I'm so grateful I married a man who can cook, but due to him working most afternoons/ late nights i take care of a bulk of the cooking. I'm not working atm as we prepare for our first baby due in May 2022, so I have more time for domestic jobs. Everyone's circumstance is different but every man should learn the skill of cooking. When he cooks its absolutely wonderful. I remember one afternoon after work he surprised me with a cooked lunch, and he always steps in and cleans the kitchen without me asking, I think he has a better work ethic than me. So incredibly blessed

In this instances I was speaking about Arjun in this particular video. I actually really love the ending. Arjun seems like a very modern man, and so excited that Priya is so successful. He is confident in himself to be comfortable with their relationship, and not being jealous or competitive to be better than her. I'm also happy her mother was able to finally see her daughter for who she is, and be proud of her for it.

This is an important message to send! You can't force your kids to get married when clearly they don't want to, especially to someone who they don't know! Let your kids find their own path in life and support them along the way. I've been with my boyfriend for 6 years and it's been the best 6 years of my life! But we're not rushing into marriage and raising a family. All my friends are like 'so when's the wedding?' We will get married after we've set up our careers and bought our first home together.

This is really relatable as an Indian female. My parents are quite open minded and never push us to get married but my aunt is always making my sister, who is only 19, meet guys from her family. She thinks its always important to get a rich guy but obviously you can always take care of yourself if you make a career for yourself. We shouldn’t need a guy to pay for us.
@manosijthehero36862 жыл бұрын
Yeah true. Anyways I am a 20 almost 21 yr old Indian guy and I will only marry an American or European woman in future. I don't want arranged marriage in future. In fact I am planning to move to either US or Canada or UK for my higher studies and will settle down there and date an American or European girl. Most Indians are still so conservative and not open minded about dating. I am sure if I stay in India, I might end up in an arranged marriage in future and I don't want it. I wanna date in a more open minded country. Thankfully me and my parents aren't so traditional and I wouldn't even care if I don't follow my tradition by dating and marrying a foreigner. Honestly I can't even stand the crowded buses in my city anymore. It's due to such a dense population in India. Honestly I feel so suffocated while going in such crowded buses and have to also stand. I can't wait to move abroad. Hopefully next year or maybe after 2 years I will go abroad for my masters and will try to settle down there.

This video covered a lot, like SOME parents are so traditional that as soon as she crosses her 20's she is enrolled into all those matrimonial sites, I feel so grateful that my parents never stopped me from doing whatever I want........... actually its very true that Indian parents are way too controlling, and also the way Arjun said, Doctor or Engineer or a failure, its so true like you would find this in every 5 houses out off 10....... and about respecting your elders, you have to just shut up and never talk back, like my grandma always taunts me for having a boy cut and I can't even protest! And also about the, wife takes care of house and husband works...... being a girl isn't so easy in this judgemental society!

This is a good lesson video, and I have mixed feelings on this topic. Yes, parents can be demanding on their children to be like them. It's because they want them to be at their level. Afterall, in exodus, the 5th commandment says "honour thy mother honour thy father." Parents should encourage their children to be successful like them, just with understanding. I grew up with parents with high careers of doctors and a former RN and now executive of a corporation. They all had their own practices and businesses. I grew up in the way to work hard and be successful. Now I want to be a high successful person, yet I pushed myself and they didn't on me. Let kids make their career choice, but parents should encourage them to work high careers to take care of themselves.

I am an Indian and love watching videos of Dhar Mann..❤❤ This was also an amazing video. But, I really need to say, nowadays, the Indian parents are also supporting girls a lot. Ya, of course, some still doesn't but many. This video may change the mind of rest of the Indian parents. Personally, my parents are very supportive to me. They think that the most important thing in the life is first of all, to build your career. They gave me the right to choose what I wanna become when I get older. They support me so much. According to my parents, marriage is an important part of our life but not the most important. First, is to chase your dreams. I am really thankful to god for giving me such supportive and understanding parents. 😊😊

I understand Priya's struggle getting her mom to accept who she is and the dreams she has. My own mother was always trying to change me to fit her idea of who/what I should be. It is a hard to have to fight your own mother to be able to be yourself. I often felt alone and that I was my mother's biggest disappointment. Parents, please, get to know your kids for who they truly are. Listen to and support them and their dreams as much as possible. Getting them to face reality is fine, but support them in their dreams as well. Your support may make the difference between their success or failure. Don't make them think that in order to be acceptable to you is to deny who they are and become some false image you have of them. In the end this never works and can lead to great unhappiness within your child. Thanks Dhar and the whole crew for addressing this issue. God bless. 💖🙏🙏🕊🕊🕊🕊

This is basically every Indian mother’s mindset(or at least the ones I know), it’s like their living in the 19’s when only men could work and make money. My grandma and mom always talk about marrying me to some rich baboon, who only cares about money it doesn’t bother me that much now but I’ve been hearing this since I was goddamn 9. It’s ridiculous how they think it’s gonna make my life so called ‘better’
