This is the most affordable DHB cycling kit. Bibs & jersey each cost £20.

I rode 145km in these and did a stack of climbing - around 2500m. Ride here: / strava
There were so good and bad points - always want to be able to test this stuff out so you don’t have to. Also important to note this is :NOT SPONSORED! You will probably know that from the overall review anyways to be fair.

I've purchased a few bits of dhb kit over the years. The basic bib shorts (for men) are just a bit too long in the leg for my liking, but their Roubaix shorts and tights are some of the best gear I've ever bought. I think the two pairs of Roubaix winter bib-shorts I bought five years ago have done 10,000 km each in winter and are still going strong, and the chamois have lasted incredibly well.

Katie, very informative review. Thank you. I have been using DHB for a number of years now and I love it. I don't buy the entry level stuff though. I have the Classic Jersey and Aeron Bibshorts. They are more expensive but not as much as the likes of your Rapha and Castelli. The Jersey has 3 pockets and a zip pocket and the shorts are great for rides over 3-4 hours.

Good to hear your thoughts. Earlier this week I bought some of DHL's more expensive bib-shorts (rrp £80) and am really impressed. Comfortable after several hours and the leg-grippers are very nice!

Great video Katie. I have some DHB stuff and find it good value for shortish rides. I've found the Decathlon/Triban clothing to be good quality/value especially when on sale, so maybe test them at some point. I got a winter jacket for £29 and I prefer it some I paid over 5x as much for. Hope the derriere is fully recovered now!

Informative review Katie, and good that you cover more budget offerings. I’m a casual cyclist rather than doing the kind of mileage you do, and at 6’2” find fit can vary considerably. Tend to default to Gore products, although they were more affordable when I was in the trade! 🤣

Thank you for reviewing cheaper cycling kit! I've got some of the basic DHB bib shorts and they're ok. I've found even 1 range up (with the blue chamois) to be a lot better for usually not much more money

ISTR my first bibshorts were from DHB. Massive increase in comfort over the pull-up shorts I'd used previously, but since I've worn better bibs they're not something I'd go back to. I see them as a good way to get your toe in the water to see if you can get on with the things without spending 120 quid. As for tops, I've got a fair few knocking about the place that have given me far more use than I could have expected from their price.

Got a merino base layer by DHB a while back, bought it for winter hiking rather than cycling though. Good price and feels good quality, although it's closer fitting than I would like, probably as it's meant for cycling.

I haven't been watching YT videos much lately, so I've missed a lot of your videos. But I'm back watching now and enjoying them again. Have you done a review for NeoPro cycling apparel? I'm subscribed to them on Facebook, and they're always appearing on my feed with products for me to buy, supposedly with the highest quality kit for the most reasonable price available. I'm tempted to get some bibs, especially because I don't have many of them, but I'd like to see you do a review of their wares before I commit to buying anything from them. A review of any unisex items would be helpful, but even a review of the women's wear is helpful. At least I would be assured of a good product from a quality standpoint. Love your videos. Please keep making them when you are willing and able. Hope your hand is getting better also. Cheers!

I buy the DHB Aeron kit and it’s really good for the price. Proper leg grippers on the bibs, 3 open pockets and a zip on the jerseys. The arms are long for me on the chest size I am, but it’s only noticeable on the full sleeve tops. I only wear the. When it’s cold though, so a bit more coverage is fine for me. I’m not a typical cyclist shape as I am a bit more of an inverted triangle! Big chest, narrow waist, so I do have to buy large to compensate. The Aeron kit, when on sale, is not that much more than the standard kit, but is so much better. Thanks for the review. I’ll certainly be sticking with DHB Aeron clobber. It’s fab!

Good review Katie. I have a few DHB items and found them a little hit and miss, mainly with the sizing which can either be spot on or just too big for me. I mainly choose castelli as my cycle kit and have numerous items from them, as I find the fit and function perfect for me. Perhaps you could review some Lusso cycle kit next. They are a British brand and based in Manchester, so should be local to you.

The DHB kit that I ever bought was all sturdy and lasted me a long time. Bit looser fit than what I prefer these days. I like the (more expensive) Castelli stuff much better, and especially the wind-proof jerseys and jackets from that brand give me a real advantage in cooler temps (below 20C). For hot weather and shorter rides the DHB stuff is great though.

I've bought a few dhb bibs and jerseys. Some of the cheaper jerseys really are quite poor - 2 pockets with a stitch to divide one. For the most part, I have 3 pockets and a zipped pocket, long and short-sleeved, and very comfortable. I'll buy mid-range bibs rather than the cheapest or the most expensive. I worry that I'll fork out a fortune on a pair of bibs to find that they're no better than a cheaper pair. 😀 Thanks for the review, though. Good to get your insight.

I often try and find the more expensive brands that are in a sale to try and get the best possible quality. The main issue I find with cycling clothing is the sizing can be somewhat of a lottery, which slightly factored into this video too. Would like to see more real life reviews of reasonable priced kit. I am sure a nice DM/email to Wiggle should secure a some DHB Aeron kit to review. Which would be my suggestion (Aeron more suited for longer rides) along with Galibier (huge fan of their leather mitts, not really that good for a vegan). Size wise I need to size down for DHB. Katie, I have DHB kit and its fine, but I really don't like the 2 pocket thing, the grey jersey looks good .. I like a 3 pocket and a zip on one of them so I have my most important stuff safe , its my nightmare scenario to come off my bike and end up chasing stuff around. I have the tops from Aldi and for day to day there okay , don't look as good as the grey one ... I rarely cycle for more than 3 hours , the bib for £20 is okay double the money and you get a good pair from DHB.. 🙂🙂👍

I've tried the cheap route for shorts and jerseys a couple of times and it seems they're simply cheap garments produced cheaply in Asian countries and sold under many brand names. In general, I've found the shorts are typically too thin, not supportive and the pads are too thick and lack density. The pads feel like a diaper or something that shouldn't be there lol. Jerseys, as you said are less critical for comfort but I've found a couple of them to not be very breathable and tend to hold in body heat. Living in Texas and dealing with hot and humid weather, breathability is important.

Great review Katie! Next time please show the chamois. I have two pair of dhb Aeron 2.0 bib shorts for $50 USD. You would like the leg grippers on them. They are also light weight, which is what I need for the humid Midwest summers in Missouri and the fabric feels like good quality. Haven’t noticed them being see through yet. At least no one has told me 😊 The sizing was way too small though. I am 5’ 10” and 80kg, but the large felt like a small. Even the XL pair I have now are snug, but tolerable. The chamois is firm and work for 3-4 hours. However, they are slightly too wide in the crotch and because the pad is so firm it starts to become noticeable. I suppose I will need to spend the money on something of real quality for longer rides.

Now that Wiggle has been sold, I wonder what will happen to the DHB brand. I’ve been wearing their stuff for past few years and absolutely love it both from sizing to value for money. Will be sad if it disappears

What do you think about sizing down in the jersey? Might be a bit tighter fit…? BTW I discovered a couple of months ago that dhb stands for “Don’t Hold Back” 😊
