Many of the people I know only go to physiotherapists for rehabilitation. They don't go to PMR. 3) Also NMC has removed PMR from mandatory dept list right? How will it affect the branch?

PMR is in demand in tier 1 corporates and it will have better opportunities according to me atleast for for the next 5 yrs. It might get saturated fast since a big hospital can run with one person.

You need to get the clearance from a psychiatrist but my personal opinion is that you can do it since Anesthesia is never a boring speciality.

@DheerajMasapu I talked about it with my psychiatrist sir, it was mainly pathology vs. anaesthesia, and my doctor suggested I choose a branch with more procedural tasks involved so that I don't require sustained focus on a task
