He is 1000% true when i was fresher 3 years ago i gave first interview where 90% questions are about your personality & 10% about technical knowledge. Also i was looking for ppc as fresher but by god's grace i got digital marketing ex. job role. then i became expert in meta ads and social media management by my freelance projects which i handled 2 years with job. I belong to tier 3 city. Then after 3 years i left the job because i got good experience and salary i was getting in tier 1 cities where not good (in term of savings & personal goal). NOW I have Started my own business in my town where i provide social media & meta ads to high ticket clients. No i don't have that fancy office and high income. I run my agency with only 1 staff and handle only 2 to 3 clients and still earning 200% more than my last salary within 4 months of starting a business. so focus on learning overall aspects of digital marketing. I come from a city named Gaya, in Bihar and currently living in pune, though i have been here for only 8 months, Have not felt any inferiority and faced problem in stating soft dominance where need in work. It's all in your mind! Even if you are not confident; just fake it. It works fine! This is really great. I watched videos from both Umar Sir and Dheeraj Sir. Umar Sir talks to the audience about how to become a marketing leader or take on a significant role in large MNCs. Where as Dheeraj sir addresses those living in small cities and discusses how to grow from that position. I am from a small city and started my career in an agency before moving to Mumbai. I began as a generalist and then specialized in SEO in large agency, I believe this is a great path for me, as my goal is to reach a top position in marketing. One important point is the need to pursue a T-shaped marketing career, which I believe is essential for anyone looking to advance in their career. Additionally, personality development is a bigg biggg factor, and I am focusing on it to progress further in my marketing career.

Becoming a Generalist or specialist will depend on the opportunities and teams you will work on. If you get a chance to work in a frugal environment then you will end up becoming a Generalist. If you work with well oiled engines then you will work as a part of a large team. Because courses teach something, but execution trains you and shapes you into what you are.

Sir it depends upon the opportunity we get right...? I have a friend who joined as a generalist dm intern in an IT company in Kochi. Its been more than 6 months, till now she didnt learn anything new. She simply didnt get any project there. All she know is local seo, social media posting, design creation in canva and keyword research. She is used as a dummy there. No particular knowledge in any area. Depends upon the company and team which we get, I think..
