Not only making the city ...but also there should be a special maintenance team ....which should look on perfect markings ..on roads ....every time ...just like Dubai has .... And also to wash roads every night 2 or 1 times each weak .....(like all the developed countries do but not India) And also ....the small plants that comes on road footh part corners ....should be cleaned & cut ..... Eg : (10:05) & no unnecessary grass or mud or soil should bee seen in the main city ...until its planned ......... Now people will say it costs more money then ..... Ans : yes but ...it will also create more jobs ...as we needs it .....(and it will also indirectly contribute to the economy ) And Littering & Spitting should have 4-10 thousand ruppes fine .. ( MAKE RULES SO STRICT THAT ONE WILL THINK 100 TIMES DOING SUCH THINGS)

People who are demanding 8 lanes or 12 lanes inside a city are short-sighted and idiots. Especially in suburbs, your should not have more than 2 lanes road and a street for pedestrians is a must to encourage walking and social activities. Many US car-centric suburbs are depressing dead zones. In Canada, the highest real-estate values are people and community-oriented, designed on a human scale and not only car-focused indicating that people prefer living in places build for THEM with good landscaping rather than concrete slabs. Cities should be designed in a way that BY DESIGN itself it should encourage easy commute through public transport and pedestrian activities with mixed-used spaces so people by design will prefer walking/public transport rather than cars. I have lived in Boston, Melbourne and Hongkong and I can vouch for the fact that even if you don't know the technicalities of urban planning the energy of those spaces are fundamentally different from each other and it affects the lifestyle and mental health of people. In the US in some places, I had to take an uber for a simple 10-minute walk even though I would have preferred walking because it was designed in a way that taking a car was safer as the area was not pedestrian-friendly while in some others it was easy to travel long distances through public transport and people actually wanted to walk around the city and felt free. Some European cities are a prime examples of people wanting to walk as opposed to taking cars everywhere. The difference was just because of the way it was designed and a significant decrease in "necessary" use of cars, more green spaces/public spaces and obviously less pollution. Let the huge lanes serve the expressways and highways and let people design smart cities which are ACTUALLY smart.

I am hearing Dholera since over a decade from the times he was a CM. After a decade all we see is a couple of KMs of road and a couple of incomplete buildings which appears to be abandoned.
