Why I use the Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro with my iPhone (and Android)

I got these a few days ago and I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max. I wasn't aware of the lack of support on the iPhone. However, I do own a S21 Pro. I can set the buds to what I need for them to do and they work on my iPhone just fine. I do like the ANC these have and I like the sound better than my Airpods Pro 2. I often wonder if these buds are why there was no Airpods Pro 3 this year. Anyway, there are my current daily drivers. Thanks for the drop guys and the tip from Reddit. All the best.

Great video as always, guys! :) I'm an Android guy. I can't see myself buying these, though, unless I was a dedicated Samsung user. I think if you have a Samsung phone, maybe it would be worth the extra cost and the vendor lock-in. But without the hi-res codecs and multipoint connections, it's hard to say it's worth it for a non-Samsung user. You can get a lot more for a lot less than $250. ANC cancelling at Air Pod Pro 2 level is fine, but for that kind of money, I'd want Sony or Bose level noise cancelling. Like I said, if I were a diehard Samsung fan, I'd definitely have these on my list, but for a non-Samsung user, i think there are better options.

Use it w my iPhone, set it up first w a galaxy ultra, sounds settings, etc. Works fine. I also like the buds2 pro, comfortable. Not as convenient but I like both brands.

Love your work DHRME. I currently use a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra as my daily driver and an iPad for work. I'm using the Jabra Elite 5 earbuds with both devices, and they work seamlessly, providing all the features I need. I'm considering an upgrade but am torn between the Jabra Elite 10 and the Galaxy Buds Pro 3.

Thank you for this update video!! Not many do it, so please keep it up. To hopefully address your annoying problem when putting the buds back into its case - how about instead of rotating the buds, rotate the case 180° when you pick it up so the opening faces away from you... 🤔 I thought the mic pick up was a little better with an Android phone in windy conditions. The mic in noisy conditions are excellent!!

I agree. I rarely used multipoint with my XM4. Often I've found that it was a pain because my XM4 would automatically switch to a phone call when I was using Teams on my Windows laptop because Windows doesn't see Teams as a "phone call". It was bullshit and nothing like how Apple handles it.

Love yours reviews, but even though I don't mean to nitpick; Regarding having to rotate the earbuds to return them to the case, have you noticed that every company that makes earbuds with stems have the tips pointed outward in the case? JBL, Soundcore, Marshall, all the Amazon brands. Airpods is one of the only ones that points their ear tips inward. Sorry, I meant Airpods Pro because even the airpods 2nd gen point outwards. And even the airpods pro require rotation. If the eartips are pointed in, you rotate them 90 degrees outward. If they are pointed out, you rotate them 90 degrees inward. I understand that they can not be inserted into the slot until you align them first, But then the complaint isn't about the orientation in the case or having to turn them, but that the airpods tubular stem allows them to turn while being half inserted in the case while the buds 3 pro blade can not. I have never had an issue trying to get my buds 3 pro in the case except one time when I tried to put the right bud in the left slot (wasn't paying attention). But this was a benefit because it immediately alerted me that I was trying to slot the buds incorrectly. In all other situations it's not hard to align them. If you are having difficulty, just approach the slot at an angle with the edge of the blade pointed towards it and it will guide its' way in. You will notice that unlike the airpods, the blade slot is half exposed on the topside. I think you mentioned the orientation in your initial review so I feel I should bring this up.

So: I have a Galaxy 23+ - that box is ticked. I also have a Windows laptop. Occasionally I connect my Huawei Freebuds 3 Pro to my work laptop, an Oculus or my Garmin watch. Switching between these is doable. But I am just so used to putting my laptop away and having the buds connected to my phone immediately / simultaneously. I am also a bit worried if the small tips aren't too big for me. I have been using my Freebuds 3 Pro with the XS tips from day 1. They may not seal best but they simply slide in and out of my ears without force but still not falling out. Let's admit the Freebuds 3 Pro are unbeatable - you've also tested them, however not the newest buds around and ANC and transparency are probably better on the Samsung. I am really on the bring of ordering them. I wish they received multipoint with a future update.

Yep 100% agree .I have both the freebuds and galaxy buds and lack of multipoint is just madness at this price . The new freebuds are out soon too ... Hopefully they fix transparency

As someone who as of now owns an IPhone 13 Pro Max and I use both my AirPod Pro 2's and my Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro, I'm under the impression that NOTHING has changed in terms of our ability to access ANY of the features on a Samsung device. It's INFURIATING because there's NO JUSTIFIABLE REASON for why BOTH companies are being so CHILDISH ABOUT IT!! I would LOVE to have BOTH COMPANIES PRODUCTS AND USE THEM ON EACH OTHERS PLATFORM!! What a novel concept huh? Apple is the one who started all this BS. So at the end of the day to answer your question, NO I don't think you can make adjustments to them on your android and then connect them to your iPhone and have all the settings "follow" (so to speak) the headphones to the new iPhone you connect to!! I tried it with my last gen Buds2 Pro's. I borrowed my friends phone connected to it, changed all the EQ to the way I liked it, changed the button tapping layout etc and then saved it gave him his phone back, connected back to my iPhone 13 Pro Max and literally NOTHING HAD CHANGED!! I would LOVE TO BE WRONG THOUGH.....

I had the Momentum 3s and now have the Samsung Buds Pro 3. I like the Samsungs better. I find their sound more open and detailed but not harsh in any way. They sound excellent.

Did you guys faced the tearing issues while changing the buds size ? :/ Mine got stuck and customer service in India sux. They aren't replacing or refunding it. Posted on twitter and no response. Went to service centers - They want to use tweezers and get them out. Everywhere else in the world they are getting replaced or refunded but in India = NOPE. Also, they sounded pretty good to me. Not as good as the Buds 2 pro though. As always Great review.

EDIT: I do APOLOGIZE for going on a bit of a "rant", I should've "toned it down" so my apologies for the long rambling rant. I actually believe it's another "S" word aside from the two you mentioned, it's a "SPOILED" situation. I would say people have become so SPOILED that they THINK it's literally "TOO MUCH EFFORT" OR TOO "INCONVENIENT!" Honestly to ANYONE like that, if you're unwilling to buy a product because it DOESN'T have "multi point connection capability" or because it doesn't have wireless charging.....well, that's JUST SAD/PATHETIC and it just continues to prove how SPOILED so many people have become. When it becomes a "requirement" or "necessity" instead of simply being an "added benefit/feature" then we've honestly gone too far. Yes I'm that "old head" as the kids say nowadays because apparently somewhere along the way 40 (or in my case very close to it, only a few more months) became "old" and that is PERFECTLY fine. I love the looks on people's faces when I tell them I haven't owned a laptop or a computer of any kind, up to and including iPads for 10 years since I graduated from college in The GM ASEP Certification program after I was forced out of my military career through an involuntary medical discharge. Nope, don't have any video games of any kind. I have my IPhone, my Apple Watch and my AirPod Pro 2's and I'm perfectly happy!!

PSA : no multipoint is a bigger issue than u may think. With some devices rhe galsxy buds 3 pro will always try to re connect even if u pull connection..its super annoying. Not worth the hassle .
