I request you to read a book call Mukti youdh of India a biography about Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. In that book the ideology of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and the ideology of Savarkar doesn't match up.. plenty of times Netaji uttered his dis agreements towards the notion of Savarkar.. Hence it is quite proved that the ideology of Savarkar and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose never matched up with each other. @Captain Netaji himself formed a left wing nationalistic party called Forward Block which exists to this day. The communist party of that time hated Netaji for joining Japan as the communists were puppets of Soviet Union, and Soviets and Japan were at war. Then there were unaffiliated communists like Bhagat Singh ho had no problem with Netaji despite their ideological differences. There is no need to brainwash Netaji lovers of today from the left even the communists who know history as they know exactly what Netaji did and why he did it. This video is fraud. Read the book veer sawarkar by Dhananjay keer. Savarkar's mercy petition have been exaggerated. He was asking his cellmates to be released until 1916. Anyone trying to defame Savarkar because he asked for mercy petition is an insensitive person. People who visit the Central Jail (Museum now) in Andaman will understand the horrifying conditions of political prisoners kept there. I appeal for a just portrayal of all Freedom fighters irrespective of current political ideological differences. Gandhi peaceful approach or Subhas Chandrabose's military approach or Bhagat Singh's appeal for arming civilians, all need to be appreciated equally towards achieving Independence. I am a big Fan of Dhruv Rathee; but the subtle political inclinations in his videos towards one side are better avoided.

VD Savarkar was imprisoned for two life sentences(50 years). Nothing wrong with him filing mercy petitions to avoid the horrors of cellular jail(kala pani). I think he could have become underground after returning from there but he didn't and instead supported british. He did spend 10 years in Cellular Jail. I have great respect for all those freedom fighters who had to face such horrors in Cellular jail or any other jail in British Raj. After Independence, INC became a typical political party which didn't care much about freedom fighters except their own leaders. Many freedom fighters were not recognised after thier death and spent rest of their lives in poverty.

Britishers suppress our voilence mercilessly and killed those peoples. Britishers had a proper army, police and those soilders were loyal to Britishers , they had wepons , resources. And what we have ,some pistols. Britishers easily crushed many voilent activists. Bhagat Singh , Chandra Shekhar Azad, Bismil, they all tried voilence but they got martryed. At that time non violence was a good way for freedom movement. It did not provide Britishers any chance of maas killing of indians. Non cooperation movement and quit India movement were planned to stop the working machinery of Britishers in India which will force them to leave. Subhash Chandra Bose was able to make an army because Japanese helped him by providing Indian pows. Everyone whether Gandhi ,Neheru, Bose ,Bhagat Singh, they all contributed in freedom in their own way. And it was their combined effort which gave us freedom. And Jinnah was responsible for partition ,not Gandhi. Gandhi tried till last to avoid partition
