Just to correct your info. Social security tax rate is 6.2 % up to a maximum of a salary of $132,900. Medicare tax is 1.65% which has no income limit. Actually , an additional 0.9% for annual income over $200,000
I guess im asking randomly but does anyone know a method to log back into an instagram account..? I somehow forgot the password. I appreciate any help you can give me!
You know nothing, retiree must buy Medicare heath insurance,?this cost $350.00 average, if your mortgage pay off already, you may be better off, if you live in Elderly housing, you are ok, however, you are living in poverty level, what good about it, don’t pretend you know everything, this bitch just BS.

@@willieho3056 I heard from someone that is right, she still pay medical insurance. I do not understand. $350 is too much. Property tax is about $5000 every year.
I was born in 1959 and my full retirement for social security ago is 67.5 years old. So 65 years old is not actual. Good talk and very educational for people who are new to USA. Thanks

The oldest social security age for full retirement is 67. Where did you get 67.5 years old? If you were borned 1937 or before, your full retirement age was 65. www.ssa.gov/planners/retire/agereduction.html
Your message needs to be corrected: Current year for year 2018, Social security tax for both employee and employer is 6.2%, total is 12.4%. Medicare tax is 1.45% for both employee and employer. All together is 15.3%. Employees' both social security and medicare tax is 7.65%

Thank you very much for your comment. I didn't want to get into the minutiae of Payroll Tax so I rounded 15.3% down to 15% and disregarded some details. But now that I look back it makes this episode sound less accurate. I've put explanation and addition in the description section so people who are interested can get the full picture. Thank you again for pointing it out!
一部分人是有pension 的。比如公务员和一些效益好的公司的员工。所以退休金是pension + social security
@JDere5 жыл бұрын
That's not absolutely true. Many independent pensions do not pay into social security. Therefore they do not receive dual income. Civil Service employees have their own retirement plan. They do not contribute to social security. Their retirement are much more lucrative because their fund is not restricted by social security.
Griffith, your example here seems count on pension, most companies don't have pension anymore, instead offer 401k. Maybe in the end have the number close to your example, but that depends your investment skill and luck.
"The absolute maximum benefit that an individual can receive per month in 2023 is $4,555, and you must wait until age 70 to claim benefits and have been a high earner for 35 years to get this much@@luming4483
The old legacy pension system had been gone for quite some time and most people only have 401K instead which depending on how much an individual save and many of them save nothing.

@@sofialongevity5601 government job pension isn’t 100% for everyone. I can’t get more than 70% no matter how old I am and how long I’ve worked. Every jurisdiction has its own retirement plan and system, some are better than the others.
