The biggest problem with diabetes in the US is that it is a multibillion dollar industry for both drug companies and medical organizations including most doctors. They want you to remain reliant on medications and visits as it is bread and butter for most doctors. I have suggested gastric surgery to many of my doctors both past and present and they always avoid the conversation like the plague!

​@@overthehill522it's easier said than done my friend, especially at Xmas time. I have been to 2 for over 20 years, no medication of any kind for all these years, when I ask my Dr for meds, she says I don't need any drugs, but it kills me not to have sweets., but I think this year I will break the rule and go for it.
